Good news! We're getting married at a winery! Charlottesville's Monticello Wine Trail won Wine Region of the Year in 2023. There are so many amazing wineries in the area (check out the link for some of the award-winners a short drive from downtown). Our favorites are Valley Road (also located in the adorable town of Crozet), Pippin Hill, Veritas, and Stinson.
More good news! Charlottesville is amazing at beer! We've linked the Charlottesville Ale Trail to give you a snapshot of some of the best breweries around. Not included on the list, but two of our favorite places to go, are Blue Mountain Brewery and Pro Re Nata out towards Crozet - amazing views, delicious food, and usually live music!
Blue Ridge Mounnntainnnsss, Shenenadoahhh Riverrrrrr! (Johnny made me add Country Roads lyrics). But really, Shenandoah National Park and the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains are right next door. Some great day hikes are linked below!
