Hopefully 68 and sunny, but October in Virginia can be a mixed bag. It will most likely be warm during the day and cool at night, so we'd recommend a wrap or shawl to cover bare shoulders and sunglasses for our outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour. Check the forecast right before travelling for the most accurate weather.
Yes, because we love taking unnecessary risks! Our welcome party on Friday night will be indoors. All wedding day events are at Eastwood Farm and Winery - our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place on a large lawn with mountain views and our reception will take place under a sailcloth tent. Should it rain, all events will occur underneath the tent.
Elevated Casual Men: button-downs, chinos, sport coats. Women: casual dresses and jumpsuits.
Black-Tie Optional Men: dark suits and ties - tuxedos are great if you have them, but not required! Women: gowns are welcome, as are floor-length dresses.
We strongly recommend that guests avoid wearing stilettos to avoid sinking into the grass. We also kindly ask guests to avoid wearing colors reserved for the bride - white, ivory, or cream.
Yes - we will be providing buses to and from the ceremony and reception venue from one of our hotel blocks downtown (we will update this when pick-up / drop-off location has been finalized and the schedule is official).
While there is some free parking available at the venue, we recommend taking the provided buses from downtown. They'll get you there on time and home safe so you can enjoy the festivities to the fullest!
Your kids are very cute (seriously, like all of them), but we have decided to keep our wedding an adults-only occasion. We hope you understand and enjoy the night off!
