Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who will be walking down the aisle with us!

Ashley Knopp

Bridesmaid

I am Allison’s biggest sister and I was there when she was born and can let you know this bride to be is just as cute now as she was then (regardless of the fact that I call her Alien)! We might only be ten years apart but she’s forever the baby of the three little ones in my heart.

Brandon Miller

Groomsman

I met David at Sewanee; we became friends fast and ended up becoming fraternity brothers. My favorite memory with David was backpacking when a bear tore into our camp and ate all of his food. David stood his ground and actually tried to get his food back instead of letting the 300lb black bear take it all.

Catherine Michalek

Bridesmaid

Allison and I met circa 1993. I cried when we found out she was a girl, destroying my dreams of being the Brady Bunch. But oh how God knew what he was doing...we’ve been joined at the hip ever since!

Browning Altizer

Groomsman

I’m Dave’s official golf protégé, most known for the Donkey Kong tee shot. Pretty sure Allison and I would have been great friends even if Dave was never part of the picture.

Chloe Espenan

Bridesmaid

Allison is the kind of friend that sticks with you, even when it's hard. She has a deliberate, unconditional and loving way about her that is really remarkable. From traveling across the country to spend time together, impromptu hangouts in Richmond TX, and summer trips to Alabama…I can’t imagine my life without her. Although I sometimes believe none of us are good enough for Al, David is that exception and I am so happy for it.

Carter Grantham

Groomsman

David and I just missed each other at Sewanee but became fast friends while we both lived in Charlotte. Whether it's golf, climbing, backpacking, or running out of water on a camping trip and having to resort to our reserve of cheap wine, we've seen each other through thick and thin. We've shared many adventures together, so here's to the next one. I'm so happy to be a part of the beginning of his and Allison's life together and wish y'all the best.

Gillian Wedding

Bridesmaid

Al and I first bonded over our mutual adoration of the Pub’s famous Sausage egg & cheese wraps and Benedict parties organized by none other than Network Dave. A friendship of a lifetime developed from there, filled with endless Mi Casa trips, a healthy appreciation for Aristocrat, and sticking together through all the bumps in the road. I’m so excited to celebrate Allison & David in the place that brought us all together all those years ago!

Cole Parrish

Groomsman

I first met David on opening day at Sewanee our freshman year where we were both on the university golf team. David’s excitement and confidence in Sewanee Golf convinced me being on this team was going to be one of the best decisions of both our lives. In the next four years, David and I shared countless experiences on and off the golf course, becoming close friends along the way. I could not be more excited to continue standing next to him as he begins the next chapter with Allison.

Jessica Shelton

Bridesmaid

16 years ago, Allison and I were thrown into friendship via obligatory carpooling to Duchesne, During these rides, we spent much time together as "sisters" (which included sisterly flighting). Less obligatory/much more so by choice, our friendship evolved to consist of many summers together, finding anything to entertain ourselves. Now, still and even more like sisters, we’re corona roommates! I’m happy to be the one to share Allison’s last place of residence before she begins her life with David.

Jonathan Triantis

Groomsman

David and I started our friendship as little kids catching bugs and lizards in the backyard. These days, it’s camping, whiskey tasting, and making Ramen from scratch. There isn’t an adventure we haven’t been on together, so I’m stoked to join this one with he and Allison.

Katherine Garcia

Bridesmaid

We’ve been through 15 crazy years together, always having each other’s back through it all, the highs and lows of being nurses, hungover ramen dates, and laughing until we can’t breathe every time we’re together. I can’t wait for David to be a part of it all daily!

Mac Lothrop

Groomsman

I met Dave in middle school and we became fast friends ever since. My favorite memory of Dave was at the beach one summer — Dave burned his feet walking across the scolding hot sand and then used his elite craftsmanship abilities to creat makeshift moccasins out of duck tape, ultimately protecting his feet from further harm. Dave has become a true brother and I can’t wait to see what the next phase of his life has in store for him.

Kayla Derks

Bridesmaid

Allison’s the “she” to my “nanigans”. You name it, we’ve done it. She’s been a vital part of my life for the last 16 years, and always will be. While I’m not so inclined to share her with anyone else, David will do.

Rob Gunst

Groomsman

David became my brother-in-law after I married his sister Hallie in 2018. Like any brother-in-law relationship, we regularly lock horns. However, respect is always learned, earned, and returned between us when the dust settles.

Kristin Baird

Bridesmaid

The original Honey in the flesh! (Sorry, David. But it's true). We may have grown up 8 years apart, but that doesn't take away from how close we are and how similar we can be! I apologize that I never returned your Taylor Swift CD that you let me borrow a million years ago. Adam and I share some fond memories of eating crawfish with Allison and David and we will officially have a lifetime of crawfish adventures to go come June 2021! Love you.

Xander Spears

Best Man

Best man extraordinaire, David and I have been through it all together - I surely wouldn’t be the man I am today without him. I knew from the beginning that Allison would be the one for him (David’s freshman year Benedict dorm days), believe it or not. These two are kindred spirits. Let’s pray I don’t bomb the speech!

Molly Nelson

Bridesmaid

I was “married” to Allison on Facebook for years, so this is technically her second marriage. Although I am now passing her onto David, she is forever and always my Chimo.

Zach Abeles

Groomsman

Although I had gotten to know both David and Allison previously, it was a series of events senior year: WAFA training, pre-orientation program and David and I’s suite-style room setup that brought us closer. Before I knew it, David was pulling me through my biology classes and Allison was keeping my mental psyche in tune, and I soon realized two of my best college friends were destined to be together. Fortunately David stopped focusing on his golf swing so much and convinced Allison to come back from France! David and Allison, here’s to a lifetime of health and happiness, it’s a blessing to be a part of your journey and can’t wait to stand up at the altar with y’all! YSR.
