What is the dress code for the Wedding Ceremony & Reception?

Answer

We kindly ask that you dress in semi formal attire. Late August in Hood River can be on the warmer side so keep that in mind as you prepare your outfit since we will be outside for the entire evening! For women, think midi/long dresses, a dressy jumpsuit, or a cocktail dress. For men, think suit and tie or nice slacks and a jacket.

What is the dress code for the Welcome Party on Friday?

Answer

Please wear dressy casual attire. Keep in mind, the Shoreline Deck is right along the Columbia River Gorge where there is a pleasant breeze even into the evening!

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

You will receive a formal invitation in the mail with instructions on how to RSVP via our website. When you receive the formal invite, please RSVP by July 1st. To help us with our planning, if you already know you will be unable to make it, please feel free to let us know!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

If you are staying at the Best Western, Hampton Inn, or Hood River Hotel there will be a shuttle to and from the venue. If you have made arrangements to stay elsewhere then you will need to coordinate your own transportation to the venue. If your Airbnb/VRBO is a short walk from either of the 3 hotels and you plan to take the shuttle, please note which location you will be taking transportation from when you RSVP. If you are driving yourself, there is ample parking at the venue.

What time should I arrive at The Orchard for the wedding?

Answer

Our ceremony will start promptly at 3:30pm, therefore please arrive at 3:00pm for a Garden Gathering at The Orchard for refreshments before. If you are taking our transportation shuttle from one of the hotel pick up spots, we will be communicating pick up timing closer to the date. There will be refreshments available when you arrive at the venue - trust me you are going to want to be there at 3:00pm to meander through the garden and take in the views from the Mount Adams lawn. Please note that if you are driving yourself, guests are not allowed on the property until exactly 3:00pm.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We're so excited to celebrate this special day surrounded by our closest family and friends. As we're keeping it intimate, only those formally invited on your wedding invitation can be accommodated. If you have a plus one, it will be noted on your invitation and when you RSVP.

Am I allowed to bring my kids?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, our wedding will be an adults-focused celebration. Since it’s a destination wedding, we hope this gives you the chance to enjoy a fun weekend getaway in beautiful Hood River. The only exceptions will be for a few family members. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Are there any other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

Yes! On Friday, August 28th the Williams will be hosting a welcome party to kick off the weekend at the Best Western Plus (where we have a room block) in the Shoreline Room. For more information, please see the "Schedule" tab above.

Can I park overnight at The Orchard?

Answer

No. If you choose to drive to The Orchard for the ceremony/reception, please note you cannot leave your car overnight in their parking.
