We met on Hinge the day before Valentine's day. He was my first and only Hinge date. He said he liked plants. I said I killed plants. A year and a half later, we have a home filled with plants! - Allison The first time I entered her house I was met with a small dog named Doug, a black cat named Lucy, and a very girly living room that looked like no one spent time in. Turns out I fell in love with Doug, I now tolerate Lucy, and we have a more modern/comfortable living room that is used all of the time. - Todd
Our first full day in Maui. We started by going to the beach to swim and boogie board. Then, while sitting on the oceanfront balcony eating fish tacos we saw sea turtles grabbing lunch on the lava rock wall by the beach. After lunch we went to Lahaina Banyan Court Park and to explore the town square. We got ready to go, and met a pilot at the airport for a private (very small) plane ride. The first part of this plane ride was absolutely terrifying. I hate heights, and I think I almost broke Todd's hand from squeezing it so hard. We touched down on a small air strip at the Hana Airport. It was closed for the evening and so we were the only people there. As the sun was setting we went to "take a picture" in the middle of the runway. After the picture I turned and saw him out of the corner of my eye. I yelled "Oh my God, No!" out of shock, and then I decided to hear him out. I said yes! I was literally in the clouds that whole plane ride back to the Kahului Airport. -- Allison I knew the big day was now here. I checked the carefully packed ring for the hundredth time in two days to make sure it was still there. I slipped it in my left pocket as I figured it would be the furthest location away from her while we drove to the Maui Airport. On the way I made sure to check that it was still there around 37 times just in case. As we ascended in the small plane and made our way down the coastline towards the Hana Airport I tried to remain calm, which I think I did a pretty good job at. The scenery was absolutely beautiful the entire time to the destination. We finally landed and time was ticking down. The pilot asked if we would like to take some photos directly in the middle of the runway so we made our way over. The pilot was obviously in on my soon to be proposal and took two photos and then I made eye contact with her and I knew that the time was now. I got down on one knee while taking the ring out of my pocket and asked Allison to spend the rest of her life with me.
