Please DO NOT call or text the bride and groom on their big day. You can contact Madison (913-832-2801) or Ethan Holland (913-387-7720).
Casual! We're here to have fun and celebrate the newlyweds, not judge anyone's outfit. Wear something comfortable to dance in. You may want to wear or bring something extra to keep warm for an outdoor ceremony in late October near a lake, but the reception will be indoors.
October 29 is the day of the Kansas State University homecoming football game, which means Manhattan will be full of guests! We want to start our big day early so that those who wish to return home after the festivities can do so, instead of dealing with traffic and increased hotel costs.
We've lived together for years now, so we already have all of the essentials! We've decided to forgo a registry in favor of various funds, which will allow us to make choices about what items in our home need upgraded and how, what we get to do on our honeymoon, and keep our small home clear of items we don't need. However, there's no pressure! No gifts of any kind are needed, monetary or physical. Just bring a smile!
No. This weekend is the homecoming game for K-State, so we recommend heading home after the wedding as prices surge and availability drops. However, there are plenty of great hotels in Manhattan, Junction City, or Topeka that would be suitable if you do not wish to return home quite yet!
The venue is near a campground and lake, which means you'll have to drive over some rough gravel roads. The parking lot is also gravel. We will have parking reserved for our event near the entrance - you'll be able to follow the signs. Note: Those who are staying in close proximity to each other, or who are willing to ride together are highly encouraged to do so. Parking will be somewhat limited and there could be other events on the property on the same day, so we'd like to reduce the number of cars if possible.
Our favorite question! We're having an open bar with beer and a selection of liquors and mixers, plus soda and water. To eat, we'll have a serve-yourself taco bar with selections to match all dietary needs (vegetarian, gluten free, lactose intolerant, no red meat, vegan). If you have a concern, please reach out to us (a.t.hopkins2022@gmail.com).
