At a company picnic, Ally's mom introduced her to Sam, with the hope that he would convince her to apply for the summer internship. A year later she showed up for the job, where Sam helped her learn the ropes of real estate analysis. It wasn't until her last month on the job that he asked her out, with their first date at a Hops baseball game, that ended with fireworks and watching the Perseid meteor shower on the hood of his car.
