Is it safe in New Orleans?

Answer

Like most cities, New Orleans has its crime. Most heavily trafficked areas during the day are safe. Don’t wander down dark side streets at night. The well lit streets have lots of foot traffic and are safer. Always be aware of your surroundings and avoid street peddlers telling you they can tell you where you got your shoes or how many letters in “your last name”

Do I need a car?

Answer

No. You can get a shuttle or Uber from the airport. Most of the areas around the downtown area are accessible by the streetcar, walking, or red car along the River. If you plan to travel to the suburb areas outside of New Orleans, you may want a car but you won’t need one. Most hotels have valet parking for those who drive to New Orleans

Where is the wedding?

Answer

The wedding will be at the Riverview Room located at the top of the Jax Brewery building on Decatur street. The wedding ceremony will take place on the terrace overlooking Decatur street with the reception following inside. The Riverview Room is the entire top floor of the building with beautiful views of the city and Mississippi River. When you arrive at the building, Riverview staff will direct you to the elevator to the 4th floor. We can’t wait to see you.

Is there parking at the Riverview Room?

Answer

Yes. There is public parking next to the Jax Brewery building which houses the Riverview Room. You can pay via an app and add time as needed. If you prefer not to park, the venue is in walking distance or a short Uber ride from the hotels.
