Groomsman
Ben has a way of lighting up any room he walks into—whether it’s through a great conversation or by somehow ending up at a piano or guitar, effortlessly pulling everyone in. I’ve always admired the energy he brings and the quiet gravitas that seems to follow him wherever he goes. We shared a bedroom until I was 18, which means he knows me better than almost anyone—and has more stories than I’d prefer he share today. Having him by my side means everything.

Ryan is someone who has become a constant in our lives. He has an incredibly relaxed, easygoing presence that makes everything—from a casual dinner to a full weekend—better. We’ve spent countless nights cooking, golfing, hosting, and exploring the city together, and he and Abbi have become our go-to dinner date crew. Life here wouldn’t be the same without him.

When Mary Kate told me she was introducing us to her boyfriend, I’ll admit I had my “big brother instincts” ready—I was fully prepared to set the tone. But from the moment I met Ian, that plan went out the window. Our whole family immediately took to him, and it was obvious how naturally he fit in. I’ve come to really admire his passion/dedication, quiet confidence, humility, and humor. I’m incredibly grateful to have him as part of the family—and even more grateful that my original plan didn’t stick.

David has been a cornerstone of our friend group and, without question, the BEST host we know—his dinner parties are truly in a league of their own. Some of our favorite memories have been gathered around his Georgetown table (especially that window nook we all love), where he and Gretchen have created a space that brings people together effortlessly. He also played a behind-the-scenes role in one of the most important moments of our lives—hiding in the bushes to capture our engagement with a mix of precision, enthusiasm, and perfect timing. Few people can host, cook, and photograph life’s biggest moments at an elite level, but David somehow does all three.

Ryan and I both hail from the Midwest, and that shared background shows up in all the best ways—easygoing, grounded, and always up for a good time. He brings a steady presence and a great sense of humor to any room, and he’s someone I’ve come to rely on as both a friend and a sounding board. I’ve especially enjoyed our conversations—whether it’s unpacking what’s happening around DC, sharing perspectives, or hearing about his latest travels. Although he and Ian both root for the wrong team (unfortunately a bit too far north of Chicago), Ryan is, without question, someone you always want around.
Bridesmaid
I consider myself SO lucky to have Mary Kate as my sister-in-law. From the day we met, I’ve admired the way she carries herself with thoughtfulness, confidence, and a strong sense of who she is. She brings a sense of balance and perspective to everything she does, while always making time for the people she loves. Having her and Ian nearby in New Haven this past year has been such a gift. We loved exploring the Connecticut coast together, especially the seaside town lobster rolls. And I can't wait for us all to be in Boston together this fall! I feel incredibly fortunate to call her not just family, but a true friend.

Abbi is one of my closest friends in DC and someone I’m always excited to spend time with. Whether it’s a game night, a round of golf, or trying a new trending restaurant, Abbi brings the best kind of energy — effortless, thoughtful, and fun. She’s always up for hosting or bringing people together, and life here wouldn’t be the same without her (and, of course, her pup Woodley).
Bridesmaid
Annalise has been by my side through so many stages of life, from being roommates in college to living together again in DC after graduation. We’ve shared everyday moments that have turned into lifelong memories. She is one of the most genuinely caring and selfless people I know, and brings so much love, warmth, and positive energy to the people around her.
Bridesmaid
Taryn and I met during Georgetown’s COVID lockdown. In the years since, she’s been at the center of so many of our favorite DC memories — especially Capitol Hill picnics and foodie explorations (from Sushi Nakazawa to Sidedoor Pizza). She brings a thoughtful perspective to everything, whether it’s ranking restaurants on Beli or deep conversations about life, politics, and everything in between.
Bridesmaid
Gretchen and I met just after college, and she quickly became someone I could always count on. She has such a kind, steady presence and a level of emotional intelligence that makes her an incredibly thoughtful and supportive friend. She shows up for the people in her life (increasingly on time lol) with authenticity and care.
