We hope everyone has time to explore Tiburon for a bit! The town has a few blocks of shops and food. We recommend checking out The Bungalow, Petite Left Bank, & Sam's Anchor Cafe (love getting a drink on the deck on a nice day!). There is a lovely walk/bike/run path along the water. Public Pickleball and Tennis courts are available to rent for free, amazing neighborhoods to walk through, and great views of the Bay!
We recommend going to a winery if you have the chance! It's such a unique opportunity to be this close to wine country. An ideal wine country day to us looks like: going to a wine tasting, then heading into town (Sonoma, Yountville, or Napa) to walk around and shop, stop somewhere for lunch or dinner, and even hit one more tasting at a tasting room! That way you can continue to enjoy amazing wine without doing a full tour :) The google map attached has some of our recommended wineries.
There are so many hikes in the area! The nature in Northern California is what we love most about living in San Francisco. Any hike can be as long or short as you want - just get to a trail head and you will have a ton of choices! I linked a list of a few regular hikes we do, all within 25 minutes of Tiburon.
The Redwood trees are a staple of Northern CA! If you want to go into the actual park, you have to buy a parking pass & tickets, so make sure to book these in advance at https://gomuirwoods.com/. If you just want to hike and see Redwoods, you don’t have to pay. There are trails that you can take that gets you around the National Park and able to view the trees - something like this: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/sun-redwood-panoramic-lost-and-fern-creek-loop?sh=cma1ag
- Ferry picks up right in Tiburon! You can get to Angel Island for hike or go into SF - Sausalito — soft serve at Drivers Market, Fish, The Joinery or Bar Bocce are some of our favorite stops! - Larkspur Landing — a morning of SoulCycle + Sunlife organic smoothies, or an afternoon of great food (love Farmshop to eat otherwise tons of casual spots like Souvla) and amazing shop! - Any of the hikes listed + Hook Fish (amazing fish tacos and burritos) + Junction Beer garden - Stinson Beach if weather is nice, can just do beach day / hang / picnic - Mill Valley Lumberyard for more food & drink - Bike across the Golden Gate Bridge! - Grab Sol Food + go to Mt Tam for sunset picnic (linked location below is where we always end up)
