Bridesmaid
Alexis has been my best friend since High School, we met on the basketball court. Watch out! She will throw a mean elbow and act like it was nothing! We have been through it all and you’ve been right there for me. She is not just a friend she is more like family.
Bridesmaid
Where do I start? Initially, I met Cara at Tennessee State University. It was just ironic that she was a transfer student from Morris Brown College as well. We bonded and connected due to both being single mothers striving to complete our degrees and gaining successful careers. Our children spent most of their primary years together.. Lord were bad! Cara has a charismatic, encouraging spirit and contagious energy. She is not just a friend she is more like family!
Bridesmaid
Chelseia has been like a sister to me. Through the ups and downs, she has been there through all the good times and bad. We initially met in college at Morris Brown College and have been close ever since! She is known as “Tee Tee Chels” by my children!
Bridesmaid
Bri is considered to be the little sister out of our Howard University group. She has an infectious bubbly personality and is always the life of the party she will be the first one to start dancing!!
Bridesmaid
This was the first person I met at Howard University. She will tell you when she met me I was flustered. We both were! I was running around trying to get everything taken care of and thought I was just going to go back home. However, since then we’ve become inseparable see you’ve been more like a sister than a friend.
Bridesmaid
Andrea "Chi-Chi" started braiding my hair in high school! After college our friendship blossomed, both being single moms we connected, clicked and understood each other. She always said she has never seen me cry..... Until my engagement.
Groomsman
The God Father of Madison Rose Wilson. My friend since our Thursday Night Kick Backs at Eastern Michigan University. Steve has had to deal with my BS since 2005, and whenever I’m in the city (Detroit), I can count on him for anything- even when I’m in the wrong (most of the time I am).
Groomsman
Navy&Lifetime bruh My bruh- met in Virginia Beach while at my first command while in the Navy. I had a beard (scruffy), he had a beard (lined up) - so I was like “yo, you gonna mess it up for all of us” (knowing we were not allowed to line up our facial hair). We rocked with each other from day one, from Waffle House shenanigans to DC road trips and more. Ju is the person who introduced and reconnected Allison and I. I always seek counsel from this man - the father of my God Daughter... I am sure he was willing to fight anyone else who would have been identified as the best man if it were not my oldest brother
Best Man
My oldest brother. Being a Navy brat, coming from a Navy family, he has always been more like a father figure to me. The definition of a classic man LITERALLY. I remember growing up and always having assignments where we would write about our hero - or someone we looked up to and admired. Rome was always the topic for me.
Groomsman
Whoop - whoop!!!! - the number one phrase. My cousin Chris got the craziest roundhouse in the Midwest. When he was only 14 he dislocated his karate instructor’s jaw! I love this man of GOD. If there were anyone on Earth I would want to strive to be like, with positive morals, intentions and so on, it is definitely Mr. Pompey. We didn’t kick it much as kids because of the age difference, but as we aged we connected as if we came into the world together. I always yearn for advice - he kicks it straight, then Jones around by playing devil’s advocate, but many lessons have been learned because of his teachings to me. Much love
Groomsman
My brother who I pretty much fought with the whole time growing up. Just two years apart, we stuck together even at times when I was the annoying little brother who got away with everything- he would let me know, but at the same time - outside the home, he always expressed how proud he was and would be of me. Tuff Tone is what we began to identify him as.
Groomsman
It’s tough to think of Zeek and reminisce without laughing. Isaiah is the other non-biological brother we had growing up. Crazy athletic, always thinking outside the box and always developed plans to get us in trouble. It was Isaiah’s idea to drive my parents' car around the block at night so we can learn how to drive. Discussing fatherhood and accepting advice in adverse situations has become a common focal point of our talks. Supper supportive.
Groomsman
The very first authentic friend I met in life. Chez and I went through everything together in our childhood. From 2nd grade to now as men, exchanging thoughts, ideas, and both loving fatherhood. He was the competitor I would have to face every single day as we grew up. He is one of the two non-biological brothers of our household and he will always be a brother to me.
Groomsman
Navy & lifetime bruh My wild right-hand man/Lil bruh whom I met during processing for the Navy. We’ve been rockin together since. From boot camp to training school, during Navy service and beyond, we’ve disagreed on A LOT just to have a good time. He always had bizarre ideas and I would counter them with realistic ideas. Alex has been there and seen me at my worse and was always ready to optimistically take on life how it is.
Honor Attendant
Navy & lifetime Bruh Unk Frank pretty much helped groomed my friends and me in the Navy. Showed us how to make bonds and create a home away from home. Frank charters real friendship and advocates for leadership as well. Work hard play hard and work-life balance was learned by being around within my first Navy command in 2008

Navy&Lifetime Bruh Smitty ... we were in Navy boot camp at the same time, met and trained together in A school, during a time when I did not want to do anything and was kind of depressed. He flipped the switch fast and was like “just kick it with me. Pick Virginia for your Command - I’m from Hampton”- the rest was history. I followed Smitty down the rabbit hole plenty of times, many of them were unsafe and I wouldn’t advise anyone to follow those tracks - but we’ve always created a story to tell. Lil bruh had my back since “just kick it with me”

Navy&Lifetime Bruh Lo Simply the most straight forward person I have ever met. Dude always had his stuff together and would take time to educate me on how, but I was always too immature to catch what he was pitchin. He would ask me a serious question just to wait and hear my BS response then laugh about it. Our conversation now is so intrinsic, I often recall older conversations and share “I think I am starting to get it now”. If I ever want 100% transparency and honesty in counsel- I always reach out
Honor Attendant
Navy&lifetime Bruh Foreal, we met on a bad note. He thought I was a disgruntle angry new sailor and I just thought the dude was goofy. That switched pretty quickly as we began to rely on each other at work and even to hang out while escaping the tough realities of life. I’ve always looked up to sims and admired his passion for fatherhood - as he would tell me of its blessings to be the father of a child.
Honor Attendant
Childhood friend and bruh After high school, our bond grew. Ryan has been around tough when I needed him and his family most. I’m glad to see the tracks we are on in life now. He has always been there for me and the kids.
Honor Attendant
