Garland Gregory Hideaway Park is located on the Louisiana Tech Campus in Ruston. The park is open daily from dawn to dusk and includes several pavilions throughout the park to provide picnic areas, some of which are equipped with grills and fire pits. The park includes several walking trails, a challenging 18 hole frisbee golf course,and a pond that provides opportunities for fishing and canoeing.
In downtown Ruston, you'll find boutiques, coffee houses, and restaurants. Ponchatoulas and Bayou Axe are some local favorites.
Need some fresh air? Lincoln Parish Park is the place! Right outside of Ruston and has paved paths, RV site, swimming, and fishing.

The North Louisiana Military Museum houses an impressive collection of uniforms, weapons, flags, training gear, aircraft, and war vehicles. The museum is a delight for any history buff, but will also fascinate visitors of all ages with American and enemy artifacts from America's conflicts during the 20th century. World War I & II, Korea, Vietnam and the Gulf Wars are particularly well represented.
