Pyramid Point Trail

Hike up through the woods until you reach an impressive vista on the dunes above Lake Michigan. You will see views of the Manitou and Fox Islands looking north. BE CAREFUL though, the dunes are fun to run down but can be extremely dangerous to get back up so do not attempt to get to the lakeshore from this trail.

Great public beach and rentals for canoeing or tubing. You can choose from a variety of lengths of trips down the river and end up at the shore of Lake Michigan.

Originally a state mental hospital and now an architectural masterpiece of shops, galleries, restaurants, and grounds to stroll. The structures have touches of gothic style and have been expertly restored. Some of the buildings are still in the process of getting renovated since the project started back in 2002.

We will be meeting up Friday 7/26 for a pre-wedding happy hour around 9pm. Come early and grab some food, play a game of bags, or sit by the fire pits and roast some marshmallows while live music plays. They serve beer, cider, and several local wines. It feels like summer camp for adults - kids are always welcome as well!
