FAQs

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

Leelanau peninsula has so much to do so we recommend coming in by Thursday so that you can explore all of the beaches, hikes, lighthouses, shops, golf courses, wineries, and breweries the area has to offer!

Question

Are kids allowed at the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be an adults only event. We realize many guests have children so if you don't have a child care option lined up, we will have suggested options for you in the area.

Question

What do I do if I have a food allergy?

Answer

Please contact Alli or Alex and let them know so they can arrange options with the chef prior to setting the wedding menu in early 2019.

Question

How far away is Northport from Traverse City?

Answer

TC is about 40-45 minutes south of Northport. The most direct route is to take M22 along the shoreline of West Grand Traverse Bay.

Question

How should I pack for "up north"?

Answer

July is a warm month and can be anywhere from the 70s to the 90s in temperature. There is always a chance of a storm in Michigan so bring your umbrella and raincoat just in case. You will be safe in light summer clothing during the day but bring layers for the evening as it can get a little chilly at night, especially by the lake. Flip flops are great for beach combing; if you plan on hiking, a pair of gym shoes is sufficient for the trails in the area. And of course, bring your party shoes for the wedding!
