FAQs

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We sure are! The website you're currently on hosts our registry as well. Click over to the "Registry" tab—whatever option you choose, you should be able to buy the item directly online and mark it as "purchased" from there. If the registry is not your thing but you're still feeling generous, we have a cash fund you can contribute to (labeled "Home Remodel Fund" on the Registry tab), or we also welcome gift cards to Williams Sonoma, Anthropologie, Amazon, or Target. Thanks for your generosity!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! This event is cocktail or formal. What that means practically—Ladies, wear mid-length or long dresses, but no gowns needed. Gentleman, please wear a suit jacket and dress pants; no jeans. Florals are encouraged!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We're glad you asked! If you have a spouse or a significant other we know, they should already be included as your plus-one on your invitation, and you should be able to RSVP accordingly. If you don't have a guest, or if your designated guest is unable to attend, unfortunately we cannot accomodate other dates. We've chosen to make this event intimate and personal so we can be with the people who have most invested in us on this significant day. We would love to spend time with you and your date another time, but given this vision as well as our venue's limited capacity, please only bring yourself and whoever is included in your RSVP.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kiddos! Truly! However, this will be a 16+ event. With a limited guest count, we want to be sure everyone at our wedding can enjoy it to its fullest capacity. So, get a sitter, and come dance your heart out! We promise to provide a good date night.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Hop over to our "For Visiting Guests" tab for more recommendations, but our strongest recommendation would actually be Airbnb—Lexington has a lot of fun options downtown, priced more reasonably than hotels at this time (Keeneland is a staple event in Lexington in April, and hotels are more costly at this time because of it!). We recommend staying around Kenwick or central downtown. Lexington is small, so you'll be close to everything! Regardless, head over to the Visiting Guests tab if you have your heart set on a hotel.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is! There is a lot located diagonally from our venue that is ours to use. Should you need it, there's also lots of street parking available in the same area. There's a map of this on the tab “Parking at the Sanctuary.”
