While we've highlighted a few of our favorite stops in town, there are plenty of cute shops and good food along Main Street and recommend taking time to stroll and explore
On Sundays from 10am-5pm, Main Street transforms into a pedestrian-only open air market
This is the same venue as our Friday welcome party. If you are in town early, they host Dueling Pianos at 9pm on Thursdays! We highly recommend stopping by for a song or two.
The winter Olympics will be returning to Salt Lake/Park City in 2034! The Park offers fun activities such as an outdoor adventure park, zipline rides, an alpine slide, various hikes, views of the aerial and nordic ski jumps, the bobsled track (where rides available for you to take with a professional), and an indoor museum. If you are lucky, you can even watch professional ski teams practicing aerial jumps into the pool!
The hike where Nick proposed-- short, but steep!
Trailhead coordinates (copy + paste): 40.6211, -111.4875 This hike is the most popular route starting at Silver Lake. It is a hiking only trail, which is a huge plus on the weekends as you won’t be sharing with mountain bikers. However, this trail is not an easy stroll if you are not used to the altitude. It is approximately 4.5 miles round trip with some steeper uphill sections. You have the option to pay to ride the Sterling lift up and hike down, or hike up and ride the lift down for free.
The Mid- Mountain Trail winds over 20 miles all through Deer Valley and Park City, connecting all the resorts at around 8,000 feet. It is a very popular mountain biking and hiking route since it does not have extreme hills. A two mile section of the trail connects the Stein Eriksen and the Montage, where you can stop for lunch, turn around, or get on a free Park City bus to return to Silver Lake. Please note that the above link gives detailed hiking directions starting from the Montage, so you will be starting in the middle of the round trip route. Rent Mountain Bikes at Deer Valley, Park City Mountain, Jans Mountain Oufitters, White Pine Touring or several other bike shops. They will all provide you with maps and recommended routes. If you want a lesson or a guided ride at any level, White Pine Touring is your best bet.
Rent a boat, jet ski, or SUP and enjoy your day surrounded by beautiful scenery.
One of our favorite local adventures! A local outfitter can pick you up, provide waders and all equipment, and guide you throughout the day as you learn to fly fish. We have used Trout Bum 2 and recommend them, but other outfitters include Fly Ty Guides, Park City Fly Fishing Co, and Destination Sports.
