We matched on a dating app in March, 2020, in the early days of Denver's Covid-19 stay at home order. Not able to leave our houses, but wanting to get to know one another, we got creative. We spent the next 6 weeks going on virtual dates via video and phone, exploring our hometowns on Google Earth, sending each other surprise delivery dinners from our favorite Denver restaurants, compiling joint playlists of meaningful tunes, and playing video show and tell with objects in our apartments that tell the stories of who we are. Justin even mailed Allison a letter, drawn to look like a telegram, that explained the history of telegrams - just for fun! By the time we were finally able to meet in person in May of 2020, we both knew we had something special.

We love spending time together enjoying Colorado's great outdoors, so it was fitting that we got engaged at the summit of a favorite hike! We first discovered this particular trail in 2020, and Justin remembers talking about what "partnership" means to each of us on that first outing. A year later, in September 2021, Justin popped the question in front of the backdrop of an alpine lake. Some dear friends made the occasion even more special by surprising Allison by capturing the moment from the bushes and supplying various treats, including champagne, snacks, and celebratory decorations, that they had brought all the way to the top!

We got married in Florida in March, 2022, with just our parents and two close family friends in attendance. We are grateful to have had this special and intimate experience, and are loving married life. Now, we are so overjoyed and excited to be able to more safely celebrate with all of you! Our 2023 wedding celebration will include a ceremony and reception in Lafayette, Colorado. You can expect mountain views, good food, great company and lots of love!
