Fly into the New Orleans airport (MSY). It is easy to catch a cab outside of the airport and often more cost efficient than an Uber. Cab rates to the French Quarter are $36 flat rate for two people.
To allow for a walk to each of the organized events, we strongly recommend staying in or close to the French Quarter. Driving in the French Quarter is difficult and parking is scarce and expensive. Ubers and taxis are available, but sometimes congestion necessitates walking out of the Quarter to access the car.
Hotels in the Quarter were not willing to block rooms because it is Halloween weekend. However, there should be more than enough rooms in and around the Quarter with a wide range of price points. Please book early and request a room away from the street if street noise is a bother.
