Hotel
We will be staying on property at Ashridge House for the wedding weekend. Our venue is a castle from the 1500's with hotel on site. We'd love for you to join us there for Friday and Saturday night — we have reserved a block of rooms at a special rate. Click on the link below to make your reservation. Notes: - a double bed in the UK is similar to a full sized bed in the US - breakfast is included from 8am-10am - please email bedrooms@ashridge.hult.edu if you have any questions or requests (such as needing two twin beds instead of a king, a refrigerator in the room, a crib etc.) - check in: 3pm - check out: 11am
Travel Note
If you are traveling from the United States to the United Kingdom, you will need two things: 1. A passport (please ensure it is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates). 2. An approved Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before traveling. The application for the ETA is a quick process. We recommend applying online at least a few weeks before your trip to avoid any issues. For more information and to apply, visit the link below.
Flight
We recommend flying into Heathrow (LHR) and then either taking a train (~1.5 hours) or a cab (45 min) to Ashridge House. Heathrow is the main airport in London and if you plan on traveling before/after the wedding, you will most likely fly in/out of Heathrow as well.
Train
If you choose to take the train, see the following: - You will need to get off at Berkhamsted Station, which is about a 10 min uber or taxi to Ashridge House. - The taxi station at Berkhamsted Station is in an office connected to the outside of the train station. Request a taxi to Ashridge House from the attendant inside the taxi office and they will call it for you. - You will most likely take the West Midlands Railway, but can find the most up to date route by entering your location to Berkhamsted Station into GoogleMaps. - To ride the West Midlands Railway, you will need to purchase a ticket on the website below.
