Question

What are Portugal's COVID-19 Requirements?

Answer

As of 5/1, to enter Portugal all passengers from the United States, regardless of vaccination status, must present a negative COVID-19 test (or proof of recovery) prior to boarding. Accepted tests include PCR tests taken within the 72 hours prior to departure and rapid antigen tests (administered with Telehealth) taken in the 24 hours prior to boarding. A typical at-home test will not be accepted. Places within Portugal, including hotels, restaurants, and bars, may also require proof of vaccination or a negative test. To avoid complications while traveling, we recommend that all guests be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Question

Reminder: Everyone must present a negative COVID-19 test to re-enter the United States.

Answer

No matter your citizenship or vaccination status, you must present a negative COVID-19 test to re-enter the United States. While COVID tests are fairly widely available in Portugal, they may not be free (or even low-cost) to US citizens. We recommend purchasing and packing the "Abbott BinaxNOW™ COVID-19 Ag Card Home Test with eMed Telehealth Services." An at-home test must include telehealth services in order to be accepted for re-entry to the United States. Question

What will the weather be like in Portugal?

Answer

Portugal is a more temperate climate. During the day, the highs will be in the mid-70's and sunny, while it will be cooler at night. Humidity should be limited. Layers will be your friend!

Question

Questions about travel and transportation

Answer

For answers to questions about travel and transportation (including how to get to our wedding hotel) please visit the "Travel" section of our website.

Question

Do I need a rental car?

Answer

If your plans in Portugal include Lisbon & our wedding, you most likely do not need a rental car. Public transit and ubers are plentiful within the city. For those who plan to drive up or down the Portuguese coast, before or after the wedding, a rental car would be advised.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding ceremony & reception?

Answer

Our wedding has a semi-formal dress code. For ladies, this includes cocktail dresses or jumpsuits. Don't be afraid of bolder, brighter colors or fun accessories, we're in Portugal! For men, this includes a suit or sport coat/blazer, tie optional. All guests should be aware that the ceremony will take place on grass and the property includes cobblestone walkways, please choose your footwear accordingly.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is adults only. If you will have infants or young children with you in Portugal, our wedding venue can arrange for professional babysitting services during our ceremony and reception. Please reach out to Allie or Andrew to arrange this service!
