Mammoth Cave National Park
Kentucky claims the longest running cave system in the world, so for that reason it is cooler than whatever state you are coming from.
Western Kentucky University
WKU is the best college (not taking comments at this time). It is gorgeous and walkable (if you like hills), and if you are staying in our hotel block you are already right on campus! Make sure to take a picture with Big Red, the best college mascot. Pictured above is Allie with her best friend Big Red.
Spencer's Coffee
If you want a local coffee shop, this is the one. After Allie has lived in WA, the land of coffee, for almost two years she has still yet to find a better iced vanilla latte or dirty chai than the ones at Spencer's.
Griffs Deli
A great local restaurant where Allie worked in college and ran that place like the Navy. See what I did there. Ryan would visit towards the beginning of our relationship and beg for free food and drinks. Don't tell my manager.
Lost River Cave
If you are looking for a smaller and closer cave, this is the spot for you. Right in the middle of BG you can go spelunking! Just kidding, but you can take a boat ride inside a cave and walk some trails.
National Corvette Museum
All corvettes in the world are made right here in BG, KY. Word on the street is that if you show them your ID from Bowling Green, KY you can cash it in for a free corvette! Most of you can't do that though, so just go check out the cars you can't afford and the sinkhole that made national news!
Chaney's Dairy Barn
Best ice cream in town! It's actually Daney's Cherry Barn if you ask Allie's mom Lee.
Great American Donut Shop
Need a late night treat after the wedding? GADS is the place to be. Allie nominated them for BG Hometown Hero in college, but sadly they weren't chosen. That just goes to show how important this place is to us.
