The Proposal

April 18, 2020

Thanks to the military, Allie and Kyle have spent a lot of time apart, 11 months to be exact in the two years of dating. Through deployment and training schools, they grew closer through phone calls and about a million hand written letters, writing letters is now an essential part of their relationship. They decided to celebrate their "one year anniversary" on April 18 to celebrate being together one full year in person. To do this, they decided to recreate one of our first dates, a picnic by the Red Barn on the Auburn University campus. Kyle said he had a letter for Allie when she arrived. Allie went to pick up the sandwiches while Kyle set up the picnic. Upon arrival, Kyle informed Allie that he had actually not written a letter, but instead presented her with an enormous scrapbook of their photos and memories. From May 2018 until a couple weeks prior, all their biggest moments were recorded on each page. As the last page was turned, Allie found the ring taped down to the last page. Kyle jumped down on one knee and asked. She said yes!
