Allie accepted a job during the Summer of 2019 to be her professor's assistant for a group of Broadcast and Digital Journalism masters students. Kienan was in that class. They spent every day that summer in the same classroom, but rarely talked. It wasn't until the start of the Fall semester when Kienan crashed a get together at Allie and her roommate's home, when they really started to become friends. Their competitive spirits quickly clicked and they spent the next few months hanging out in the same friend group. Shout out Flip Night at Faegan's! (Yes, our dog's name.) A bit later they both signed up to create a five-part series and Allie asked Kienan to be her partner. Classmates started noticing how much time they spent together. One day, they became cornered in an elevator with one other student who very bluntly asked, "So are you guys a thing?" Allie looked at Kienan to answer, clearly knowing what she wanted him to say. To which he very eloquently replied, "Uh, we're working on a project." Best project ever.
