Mexico is a very big city and traffic sometimes can be overwhelming, just try to avoid rush hours 7 to 9 AM & 6 to 8 PM. I recommend using UBER or Taxi service both are plentiful and cheap, your UBER App will work just fine and service is readily available, Taxis are cheap and safe but I would look for a TAXI station near your location (every other block) rather than flag one off the street, as street taxis are not as regulated. There is a very extensive bus and subway network, but I would avoid it unless very familiar with it. There are lots of rental electric bicycles and scooters around and walking is always a safe and pleasant experience. TAXI service is best from Airport to your hotel pick up area for Uber is not defined and locating your ride maybe dicey, head for one of the taxi booths (Yellow cab, Sitio 300 recommended) the taxi fare depending on destination will be around 300 to 400 pesos (15 to 20 USD).
