We met at a bar in Lawrenceville outside Pittsburgh through friends of friends. I was instantly into Jon. Jon was too many drinks in to notice much. Jon finally got the (fifth) hint after some nudging from our friends. Jon asked me out on a date that ended up lasting a full day (breakfast through dinner) because I was leaving the next day for a month-long trip. After a month of chatting, we met up again when I came home and have been together ever since!

We had spent about a week ice climbing in Ouray with a couple friends. We hadn't really been alone much but on the last day we went out climbing just the two of us. After we were done for the day, we were sitting at a couple benches taking off our gear and getting ready to go get lunch (aka the best sandwiches in all Colorado...) Jonathan pretended to kneel to take his crampons off to ask the big Q.. After some tears and a "YES!" we went for the best sandwiches of our lives :)
