Is Lucy coming to the event?

Answer

Sadly, Lucy will be staying in the US and will join those that attend the casual wedding in IL

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes! You need a valid passport to travel to Italy. The passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the planned date of departure from Italy. It is recommended to have at least six months of validity remaining on passport to avoid any issues.

Do I need a Visa to go to Italy?

Answer

Currently US citizens do not need a visa for up to 90 days. Europe is planning to start operations of ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System). In the last quarter of 2026, Europe will start action requiring US citizens to fill out an application before entering the country and pay an application fee (20 EUR). The application will as for personal information (name, surname, date, and place of birth), travel document details, details on intended travel and stay, and confirm you understand the entry conditions. Should I contact the venue about a room?

Answer

No, please do not reach out to the venue directly. Once all RSVPs are received, we will be sending more information regarding hotel accommodations.

Please do your best to stay away from tan, dark green, purples, and white.

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

We love your little ones, but we are keeping this celebration adults-only. Thank you for understanding - we can't wait to celebrate with you!

Is there a RSVP deadline?

Yes! Please RSVP by March 31st so we can finalize the headcount with our venue and confirm room placements.

What is the closest city to the venue?

Answer

Florence is a 20-taxi drive from the venue. Rome is a close train ride from Florence.

When does the wedding festivities begin?

Answer

All other guests are invited to the welcome dinner, happening on Friday, September 11th. The wedding will take place on Saturday, September 12th. The last wedding event is the farewell brunch on Sunday, September 13th.

Is there no wedding happening in the US?

We will be hosting a casual celebration over the summer for those who are not able to attend the wedding in Italy on August 22nd. More details to come!

What should I wear?

Answer

We are asking guest to dress in formal or cocktail attire. For men, this means a suit or dress pants with a button-up shirt and optional tie. For women, a long dress or a formal cocktail dress.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes, the venue does have parking on site for those who might rent a car and drive.

Absolutely! Enjoy the cocktail hour and reception with open bar throughout both.

What is the weather like?

Answer

In mid-September, the weather is warm during the day and a little chilly at night. Average daytime temperatures range from mid70s to low 80s°F, with cooler evenings in the 50s and 60s°F. It is a great idea to bring layers for the evening, especially if you plan to be outdoors. Keep in mind that weather can be a bit unpredictable, so we recommend checking the forecast closer to the date!
