Our journey began in June 2019, after being set up on a blind date by mutual friends. Although we shared an instant connection, after returning to campus the next semester, we were separated by our busy schedules and lost contact. Throughout the school year, we'd run into each other randomly, and eventually, we started hanging out and became close "friends" once again. It took several months before we could see that we belonged together, and we officially started dating on February 16, 2020. Shortly after becoming "official", the COVID-19 pandemic ramped up, and we were sent home from school. At this point, we were with each other 24/7, switching off week by week staying at our parents' houses. Our relationship was strengthened throughout that year, making lots of memories during many date nights, sunsets, and adventures. After graduating together in 2021, Alex went off to graduate school in Washington, D.C., and Allie began her job as an Admission Officer at our Alma Mater. Being long distance made our relationship even closer, and we knew that we wanted to start our lives together as soon as possible.
