Adam & Allie first met on her 18th birthday, which also happened to be their first day at the University of Central Florida. Without knowing anyone else at UCF, they were connected through a small group of fellow Philly kids attending the school as freshman. Some (Adam) may say, he was the best birthday gift she ever received. Adam and Allie quickly hit it off as great friends and spent the summer getting to know each other as just that - friends.
After a summer of friendship, Adam mustered up the courage to make his move at the beginning of their Fall semester. In typical Adam fashion, he asked Allie out with one of the corniest lines of all time saying... "What do you say we... go steady?"
Year 1 - UCF Football went 8-4. Adam spent the Fall semester teaching Allie what it means to be die-hard sports fan. They fell in love with their new life in Orlando, and soon enough with each other as well. Year 2 - UCF Football had an impressively unsuccessful season going 0-12... lol Allie & Adam on the other hand had a perfect record of "goin' steady" as they embraced a new year joining Greek life, working together at Smoothie King, and taking advantage of everything attending college in the Sunshine State had to offer. At the end of this year, Allie began her career with Four Seasons. Of course, she thought it was just a part-time job at the time but she would soon realize the role would serve as the catalyst to their future together. Year 3 - UCF went 6-6 - not too shabby. Junior year was a year filled with travel. Adam embarked on a mission trip to Nicaragua and Allie spent the summer in London for an internship. Adam came to visit her across the pond marking their first true vacation together. During their trip, they ventured to Paris to enjoy *a very boujee* three days staying at the Four Seasons Georges V (#ThanksFourSeasons). The 21 year old kids from Philly felt pretty out of place amidst the Parisian elite, but they had not doubt that being together was exactly where they were supposed to be. Year 4 - UCF went 13-0 winning the now infamous National Championship Not only did UCF win big but the Philadelphia Eagles also won the Superbowl! And more importantly, Allie & Adam graduated from UCF! If you're wondering when Adam hit his peak, it was definitely 2017/2018 - what a year!!
After graduation, Adam and Allie moved into their first apartment together in Lake Nona, Florida. It was a cute little apartment filled with hand-me-down furniture and the aromas of Adam's first attempts at ambitious recipes. On days off, they spent time together exploring the city and discovering everything Orlando had to offer - including days spent drinking around the world at EPCOT as Disney Annual Passholders. They enjoyed their lives so much in Orlando that Allie even started a blog titled "Definitely Orlando" to convince people of all of the incredible experiences that await beyond the theme parks.
After just one year living together in Lake Nona, Allie received the opportunity to join the opening team of Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia - which would bring them home to their families in Pennsylvania. After almost a year living with their parents, Adam & Allie decided it was time to find their own space again, this time in Manayunk, PA. They moved in just in time to hunker down for the pandemic. During the crazy COVID years, Adam perfected his baking skills, they welcomed a new furry friend to the family and found appreciation for slow-paced quality time. When you live with your best friend, life is pretty great. Philly quickly felt like home as they enjoyed exploring the neighborhoods, game nights with childhood friends, trying all the best restaurants, and screaming Go Birds for every Eagles game!
To celebrate their 8 year anniversary, Adam & Allie embarked on an adventure to the iconic Ocean Club Resort in the Bahamas (#ThanksAgainFourSeasons). On the afternoon of August 23, Adam surprised Allie with a beautiful proposal amidst the French Cloisters in the Versailles Gardens. Adam had been planning the engagement for months with the help of the Four Seasons Ocean Club team. During a previous visit, a highlight of their trip was strolling through the gardens, so he knew that when the time came, this was where he wanted to pop the question. To get Allie to the gardens, Adam suggested to Allie to ask someone at the resort to go on a venue tour... you know, for professional comparison with her Philly property. So off they went on their "tour" where Allie asked a million irrelevant questions. Then when they reached the top of the cloisters, Adam got down on one knee and asked Allie to marry him. But in true Adam fashion, it couldn't be a normal proposal. In the ring box, instead of a ring, he presented Allie with two tiny leprechaun tattoos... because why wouldn't you reference your favorite Will Farrell 'Talladega Nights' quote in such a momentous moment?! Moments later though, he presented her with a stunning pink sapphire ring - and of course - SHE SAID YES!
And now, Allie & Adam welcome you to join them to celebrate their love story as they make their partnership official, joining together as husband and wife. If you're keeping up with the dates, you'll realize the date of their wedding is pretty special as it falls one day after their 10 year anniversary together. We would not be where we are today without the incredible support of our family & friends. We look forward to hosting you for a weekend of love-filled festivities and hope you can join us for this special event. Let the countdown to August 24, 2024 begin!
