Travel Note
Emphasizing to have the following: 1. Universal/European plug adapter - Portugal does not use the same outlets as in the US. (Amazon link here for options) 2. Comfortable walking shoes/sneakers
Travel Note
We realize that for many guests this will be your first time traveling East outside of the US and you may be unfamiliar with how to beat jetlag. This will be especially important if you are arriving the day before the wedding and won’t have any buffer days to adjust. Keep in mind that Lisbon is 5 hours ahead of NY. Assuming your flight is overnight & leaving your airport around 10pm-12am, we recommend staying awake through the day of your departure and using the flight time as your night-time’s rest. This way, when you arrive & wake up in Lisbon it will be morning time/early afternoon there, which will allow your body to adjust better. If you don’t get much sleep on the flight, expect that you will want to sleep when you arrive, which may not be favorable if you are trying to be on a normal sleep cycle in Lisbon. See link for other tips.

Please see this Pinterest board with inspiration if you’re unsure what to pack for your outfit.
Travel Note
We will be in Lisbon at the end of their Spring season, so please expect weather in the 70’s-80’s range. Lisbon is known for being sunny so most days may feel quite warm.
Travel Note
Uber & Lyft are available, as well as the city's own cab services of course. There is the metro (like the NYC subway system), trams, buses and you can of course rent a car.
Travel Note
The couple will be staying at "Baixa House", a vacation apartment rental in Lisbon. "The Lisboans" is another vacation apartment rental nearby. These are buildings with multiple apartments for rent so guests may explore these options. If you’ll be staying in Lisbon, the neighborhoods we recommend are: Baixa, Chiado, Barrio Alto, and Alfama. These are the main/central downtown neighborhoods that also surround the pick-up/drop-off location for the wedding day transportation. At this time we are not providing a hotel block or other accomodation recommendations. There are various hotel and airbnb rental options spanning a large price range. We do not want our guests to feel limited in being able to stay where they are most comfortable.
Flight
Currently Tap Air Portugal will offer the most affordable options for direct flights. You can also save money if you book a flight with stops. To note: direct flight time to Lisbon is 7 hours long.
