FAQs

Please read the below for answers to some questions you may have!
Question

Can I bring a plus 1?

Answer

Short Answer: No. The name(s) addressed on the save the date/invites are the only persons on our guest-list at this time. Long Answer: We want our special day to be surrounded by our closest family and friends, hence why this is an intimate celebration for only 50 guests, as opposed to weddings that are traditionally 100+. Therefore, you may be in a predicament in which you are invited but someone you would like to bring with you is not. However, depending on what the guestlist looks like after the RSVPs are in, we will try our best to accommodate. *We do want to emphasize that while your significant other may not able to attend the wedding day due to guest limitations, they are welcome to travel with you and to join in on any other wedding activities we may plan for the days following the wedding day.* We completely understand if this impacts your decision to attend.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Short answer: No. Long answer: We really want this to be an adult experience, and most importantly an exciting vacation for you all! Take a break parents, you deserve it! *We understand that obtaining childcare is not easy/not always free. We are completely understanding if this limitation impacts your ability to attend.*

Question

When do I book my flight?

Answer

We recommend that you start looking into flights as soon as possible! Prices can vary significantly for direct flights (avg. $700-$1,100 round trip), so once you know that you're coming - RSVP & book the flight! *Your proof of flight purchase will be your final RSVP that you will send directly to the couple*

Question

Where do I book my hotel/stay?

Answer

Please check the "Travel details" tab on this website. We are recommending that you stay in Lisbon around the days of the wedding if you'd like to be included in the group transportation to & from the venue. However you can of course stay where you want. If you don't stay in Lisbon please be sure to secure your travel arrangements on the day of the wedding!

Question

How long should I stay in Portugal for the wedding?

Answer

Short answer: As long as you want, please think of this as your vacation! Long answer: We recommend that our guests plan to arrive in Portugal at least 1-2 days prior to the wedding date to account for any possible travel delays, jetlag, and simply to get settled and have a feel for the area. We do NOT recommend you arrive in Portugal on the day of the wedding. We will likely plan out some activities for the weekend after the wedding (which will be updated to this site) that you are welcome to join in on. Or you can create your own itinerary and do your own thing! We will not require that you leave on any particular date, please do what works best for you & your trip.

Question

About how many guests can we expect?

Answer

This is an intimate wedding for about 50 guests. That being said, please be mindful that not all of our extended family and friends are included in this celebration.

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal/Cocktail Attire: floor length dresses, cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, suit & tie, sports coat and slacks. Spring inspired. The weather will likely be in the 70’s degree Fahrenheit range. Some moments of the wedding day will be outdoors, with the night ending indoors.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Final RSVP directly to the couple with proof of your flight purchase. You may update your RSVP on this website if you can no longer attend or need to adjust details such as dietary restrictions.
