Chattanooga is a climber-heavy town! The area offers some amazing sandstone climbing, so it's an obvious choice for those who love the sport. Synergy Climbing Gym is a frequent spot visited by the groom, and also has a Ninja Gym included designed by a local legend / Winner of American Ninja Warrior (& friend). Great spot to work out or burn of some energy throughout the weekend.
Yoga Landing is a second home to the bride. Their Yoga offerings based on your needs and interests. They have community classes and options for drop-in classes. The teachers and staff will make sure you feel right at home. You may even catch the bride there on Saturday morning.
Being only .4 miles from our door, Stringers has become a staple in our home. Our favorite spot to walk the dog, and a perfect place for a quick mountain bike ride or trail run. It also offers some great views of the city, and you can piece together several miles worth of trail.
A famous pedestrian bridge that spans across the Tennessee River! Rent and ride a City Bike, or take a nice stroll over the water and enjoy the beautiful views of the Tennessee River Valley.
On the banks of the TN river, Coolidge is a staple of Chattanooga. It is full of life and full of activity at all times, and is a great place to relax outside.
Renaissance, Coolidge's sister park and is directly adjacent. This spot has some awesome features including the aptly named "Cardboard Hill", where local kids like to repeatedly slide down the incline on pieces of cardboard. It's actually really fun and we recommend you give it a go.
Walking / Biking trail that runs for miles from St. Elmo to Hixson wrapping along the TN river. Recommend if you're looking for a great spot to run, or get some walking exercise. There are many points of entry, but we recommend starting at the Walnut St Bridge and heading towards the north end.
Great spot for gravel riding or hiking! Snooper's rock is a famous natural overlook that offers quintessential Tennessee River Views. For a few hours of hiking, we recommend checking out Mullen's Cove Loop - about ten miles of classic Cumberland plateau trail.
There is some world class hiking so close to town via The Cumberland trail. There are many segments of the trail, but we definitely recommend hiking anywhere along the Three Gorges segment (bring snacks if you do possum creek), or the Tennessee River Gorge segment. If you're serious about getting some miles in while you're in town, let the bride know - she'll set you up with some specifics, depending on what you're looking for in an experience.
If you're looking for a great trail running spot or gravel bike ride, the guild trail starts at the bottom of Lookout Mountain and wraps all the way up to the top! The grade is pretty moderate, and offers some lovely views of the city.
Summer in Tennessee means it's time to swim! Big Soddy is an awesome, and accessible area along Big Soddy Creek where you'll find many locals cooling off in its cool blue pools of flowing water. Just between us, if you walk about 2 miles in, veer right at the first fork, cross the creek and keep an eye out for a downhill trail on your right, you'll find a hidden paradise.
A closer and more accessible swimming spot with equally refreshing pools! Chattanooga's creeks are beautiful and special.
The closest creek to town - perfect for a quick dip. Pre-wedding creek bathing is certainly encouraged.
It'll be June, so not exactly climbing season, but if you're looking for some climbing in the area, check out Foster Falls! You can also piece together some hiking trails here, and take a swim near the falls.
Another climbing spot equipped with miles of trail adjacent and swimming holes! Pretty accessible and not too far from town.
The place in town where we have spent the most money and hours of our time, hands down & by a very large margin. We may even consider this our number 1 recommendation.

Another local favorite, right down the street from Hutton & Smith. Definitely some fun flavors they enjoy experimenting with. Recommended!
What started as a tiny tap house, has grown into its own brewery. This spot is located on the Soutside of town and has great patio space for weather enjoyment. Also doubles as a dog park sometimes, which is always a blast!

Our local rum Bar - cocktail parasols included. Located on the bottom floor of The Dwell Hotel - our city's most uniquely designed boutique hotel, Night Pearl is basically straight out of the late 1960s. It stays pretty low-key, and is highly recommended!
New cocktail bar located downtown! Definitely a neat spot with some amazing cocktails.
Coolest breakfast spot in town. A tiny little house with a breakfast bar, and beer. Open late for your breakfast for dinner needs. Efficiency is not the reason people go, so expect to wait a while for a seat, but it is a one-of-a-kind place with massive pancakes.
Delicious bread, pastries, and coffee on the Southside of town. Great place for a sandwich at lunch!
A Red Bank Favorite! Baked goods for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch, and the best sourdough in town.

A favorite spot for the bride, as you may already know. Lovely local tea shop with herbal remedies and caffeinated tea offerings. Have a tea party in the shop, or buy tea by the ounce to sip on throughout the weekend.
Chattanooga has their very own minor league baseball team, the Lookouts! AT&T Field overlooks the Cumberland plateau and is the perfect way to spend summer nights in Chatt. Thursdays they offer $1 beers.
