Question

What's with the music theme?

Answer

Music is a world within itself with a language we all understand. With an equal opportunity for all to sing, dance, and clap their hands - Stevie Wonder "Mimi's" grand piano echoing through the halls of the Allen home, Dan Murphy singing "Hey Jude" to a young Kyle. There is a soundtrack behind all of the foundational moments and core memories in our lives as human beings. The same is true for our relationship, stemming back all the way to the beginning of our friendship in the early 2010s. Music has become a love language of ours - a way to communicate and connect. Album dates, love songs back and forth, countless live shows of favorite artists - it is the heartbeat of our bond to each other and to those we love in our lives. We hope you'll let your hearts sing alongside ours as we celebrate our commitment to each other in the best way we know how.

Question

What time should I get there?

Answer

We are planning our day with the hope of having maximum quality time with our beloved friends and family! You'll see that the event starts at 4PM ET / 3PM CT and will last through the evening. Come and go as you please! Our Wedding Ceremony will begin at 5:30PM ET / 4:30PM CT, and we'll be hanging with ya'll all afternoon and evening. Come a little late, leave a little early, or stay for the whole dang thing.

Question

What do I wear to this thing?

Answer

There are no wrong answers here - whatever makes you feel like yourself! It'll be a warm summer day in the south, and we'll be embracing the elements. The wedding party will be dressin' up in cocktail attire, but we want you to express yourself in a way that will bring you maximum comfort. If that's slacks and a bolo tie, sundress with converse, tuxedo shirt with jorts, great! We'll love you any way you come! The only thing we ask is that you wear some comfy shoes for dancing and yard games, because the bride will want to dance with you and the groom will want to play you in cornhole.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Kids 21+ are encouraged to join! With the exception of the bride's teenaged first cousins, we're planning on a kid-free party. We'd love for you parents of youngins to be able to relax and take a load off with us for the day. That said, please don't forget to bring your inner-child!

Question

Do I get to bring a date?

Answer

We honestly wish we could invite the whole world to this thing! If your partner or family member's name is on the invitation, we would love for them to join.

Question

What about COVID-19?

Answer

As the date approaches we will keep an eye on case counts, CDC guidance, and make any precautionary decisions as needed. It is our understanding that the majority of our family members and friends are fully vaccinated. Luckily, you have plenty of time to get your COVID-19 vaccine & boosters if you have not already. If you have hesitancy for any reason, we're happy to talk with you about the safety and efficacy of the shot. Fun fact - The Moderna Vaccine was funded by one of TN's music legends, Dolly Parton! If you haven't received your 4 free COVID-19 tests, it couldn't be an easier process - https://www.covidtests.gov/
