A must visit if you've never been to the area. Classic Maine lighthouse and enjoy a lobster roll right on the ocean.
Fun fact, we went here on our second date to "Christmas shop" for our families! The whole Freeport village area is very cute and there are plenty of food places nearby that are AMAZING. We love going here and doing some shopping and then going to Maine beer company for pizza and drinks. It's also very close to "the desert of Maine" which is a naturally occurring desert in Southern Maine that is so cool to see.
Brewery hopping on industrial way is one of our most frequently done activities. It being close to Portland and having so many options for good beer, can't really go wrong! They also have lawn games, live music, brewery tours and so much more! Allagash's second location in Scarborough is also a great activity!
This area of Portland is a must do for visitors! Filled with amazing food and cute shops for all your Maine themed merch!
Coming up early? Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are about 3 hours from Portland and incredibly beautiful at all times of the year, but especially in late summer. This would be a harder day trip, but worth the drive if you're up for it!
Incredibly beautiful all year and about a 1 hour drive from Portland. We love to go here and bird watch, stop by the cute coastal area of Boohtby Harbor ME and check out all the beautiful botanicals coastal Maine has to offer. There might even be some huge trolls!
