Things To Eat & Do

Our ideal day: delicious local food, a walk in the woods, hunting for treasures, a game of pool, and a good drink. These spots are all precious to our hearts. We hope you have time to experience at least one!
Larrabee State Park

Larrabee State Park

Larrabee State Park, Bellingham, WA 98229

The site of our first date. Breathtaking. Multiple easy trails for a casual hike, picnic tables & BBQ, playground. There is a day use fee if you don't have a Discover Pass, but it is beyond worth it.

Horseshoe Cafe

113 East Holly Street, Bellingham, WA 98225
, (360) 933-4301

This is the oldest ongoing establishment in Bellingham, and the oldest cafe in the state. Simple yet funky offerings---churro waffles a la mode, Russian-style cheesy tots, the perfect bloody mary, excellent all-day happy hour on Sunday. While the cafe seating is cute, we recommend ducking in to the adjoining bar seating, The Ranch Room. Same food, funner atmosphere with billiards and darts.

Jules Bistro

216 Abbott Street, Vancouver, BC V6B 2K8, Canada
, (604) 669-0033

Our favorite date spot. If you'll be visiting Vancouver, this is a can't-miss (although we'd say it's worth the drive all on its own)! Lobster bisque, steamed mussels, steak, croque madame, and lots and lots of cheese.

Uli's Restaurant

15023 Marine Drive, White Rock, BC V4B 1C3, Canada
, (604) 538-9373

Only a 10-minute drive from the border (and, therefore, the bride and groom's house), this is a favorite when we're needing schnitzel and fish 'n chips.

Penny Lane Antique Mall

427 West Holly Street, Bellingham, WA 98225
, (360) 671-3301

Prepare to get lost in here for a while.

The Temple Bar

306 West Champion Street, Bellingham, WA 98225
, (360) 676-8660

Our second date! Lovely craft cocktails and small plates.

The Local Public House

1427 Railroad Avenue, Bellingham, WA 98225
, (360) 306-3731

We swear it: they serve the best Reuben ever made, with lots of local craft brews/meads/ciders.

For all the days along the way
