In the fall of 2015, we met at Texas A&M University through an organization we were both very involved in, Fish Camp! Through Fish Camp, we were randomly partnered together to lead a camp of 24 counselors and 170 incoming freshmen. Building our own camp took a lot of work and dedication not only to the organization but also to each other. We soon became inseparable friends. Somewhere along the way, we realized we really enjoyed creating a camp together, so we decided to create a life together.
On December 1, 2018, I asked Allegra to marry me. We went on a wine tasting tour at Messina Hof. I nervously swirled and sipped wine as the time crawled closer to when I would pop the question. After the tour, we sat in the wine bar and I led Allegra outside to the gazebo. It was decorated with pictures of our journey so far together. I had our favorite champagne on a barrel in the middle flanked by two wine classes that stated our feelings to each other: "I love you to the moon and back. The most important item waiting for us was the ring that symbolizes our promise to each other and our never-ending love for each other. On December 1, 2018, the love of my life said yes.
