We have taken many bike rides along the Rideau Canal - enjoy the working locks alongside the historic Fairmont Château Laurier hotel.
National Gallery of Canada
We love visiting this beautiful art gallery overlooking Parliament Hill and the Ottawa River.
Parliament Hill
Laura has never actually done a tour of Parliament Hill, but would love to hear about it if you do! It's also lovely to walk around the grounds.
Shawarma Palace
A visit to Ottawa is not complete without shawarma. Shawarma Palace is a household name in Ottawa and Allan's go to spot. There are many locations in town, pick whichever one is convenient for you!
Datsun
We went here on one of our first dates - definitely a favourite spot for Asian-fusion! There are also many other great restaurants along Elgin Street.
