Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Cocktail attire! We want everyone to feel elegant but comfortable. A suit, cocktail dress, or a fancy jumpsuit are all appropriate. Note, the wedding reception will be outdoors, but the reception will be indoors.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 5pm, so please arrive and be seated 15 minutes ahead of time. Bus departures from the hotel will be announced closer to the wedding date.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes. We have two hotel blocks in Fishkill, Courtyard by Marriott and Hilton Garden Inn. There will be a bus that stops at these hotels to take guests to the ceremony/reception and back at the end of the evening.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please visit the Travel tab

Question

What is the hora?

Answer

The hora is a traditional dance done at Jewish weddings. Friends and family are invited to create a circle (or two) on the dance floor, hold hands with your neighbor and dance in a circle. The bride and groom may dance around in the circle, or may break off to dance in the center. At some point, the bride and groom will be lifted into the air on chairs. Keep dancing!

Question

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

The wedding ceremony and reception will be child-free, however kids are welcome to join for other activities leading up to the wedding itself. Bring the whole family or have a child-free weekend away -- the choice is yours!
