YO! WE GON GET MARRIED!!

We were shallow at first but wtv it's LA!

So...I can now say that "All my exes live in Texaaasss!" because when I first moved to LA 6 years ago, I was done with men, y'all. I was ready to follow Beyoncé and sing "ALL THE SINGLE LADIES!" on the rooftops! Then...6 months later...we got a new bartender at the restaurant I was waitressing at called 'El Toro'. My friend Julie had come up to me and said "Have you seen our new hot bartender?!" and then she followed up with saying, "I CALL DIBS!" (RUDE!). Then, like a movie, I saw him at the end of the bar, he turned around and my eyes turned into hearts like the emoji (you know the one). His name was, Karl...and he had everything on my checklist in a perfect guy. 1. Blonde hair, CHECK! 2. Blue eyes, CHECK! 3. Great strong jawline, CHECK! Being the good friend I am to Julie, I ignored him...but only after I had ran into the restroom to spice up my hair and quickly put on some red lipstick (too obvious?). I acted like I was so busy. I knew what I was doing y'all...playing hard to get (worked like a charm! JOKES ON YOU, KARL!). After a lot of froyo dates, which by the way, I totally thought "DAMN, this guy LOVES froyo!" haha, Karl admitted to me as he kissed me for the first time, "I LIKE YOU, OK?!" I had never smiled so big until that moment. I mean, it was all too perfect, could this man be real?! I am so happy the universe made us both end up in the same state, same city and same workplace. I love you more than I could ever explain, Karl. YOU ARE STUCK WITH ME FOR LIFE!!

The first time I saw Alissa, she was walking away from me. I didn’t see her face! I saw...yeah, that’s right...her butt! I’m a butt guy, what can I say!? Okay, let me try this again…It was was my first day bartending at my new job and I had absolutely no plans of falling in love or meeting my future wife. My only plans were to make sure the margaritas were sweet enough and to remember which tacos were gluten free. Just as I was stressing about how awful my job was, I suddenly found myself transfixed with a certain waitress. I couldn’t keep my eyes off of her. Overtime she came over to pick up a drink from the bar, we would talk and laugh for just long enough that every frozen beverage I was making started to melt. Oops! the customer didn’t like the drink? I guess she’ll just have to come back and talk to me some more (I have my tricks). I just remember her smile was so big and her laugh was contagious. I had never met anyone so joyful and full of life. Most of the time you get either pretty or hilarious...you don’t get both. She was both and then some! Whether I knew it that day or not, my future was right in front of me and I couldn't be a happier man.
