how to get to the villa

IF YOU ARE STAYING IN STRESA: We have scheduled a private boat to take guests from Stresa to our wedding venue. The boat will be docked right in front of Hotel La Palma with a red flag and will depart at around 5:00pm. It holds up to 20 people which should fit everyone who needs it! If you happen to miss it, we'd recommend calling a taxi (numbers below). IF YOU ARE NOT STAYING IN STRESA: If you are not staying in Stresa or are unable to take the private boat and need a taxi to the venue, here are a few services: Stresa Taxi: +39 0323 30394 Taxi Verde: +39 348 263 7871

We have scheduled shuttles to take the guests who staying in Stresa and Gignese back to their hotels the end of the night. The wedding ends at 1:00am, and the shuttles will depart shortly after that.

Flight

Milano Malpensa Airport (MXP)

For those that are flying from the US, we recommend flying into the Milan airport and either renting a car, taking the train from Milan to Stresa (details below), or check with hotel if they offer any shuttle services to and from the airport.

If you don't want to rent a car, the train is always a great option as there is one that goes from the Milan airport to Stresa. The venue is technically in Verbania, but Stresa is a more tourist-friendly, cute little town, and you can easily take a water taxi across the lake! When you arrive in Stresa, you will most likely be able to walk to your hotel and if not, there will be taxis at the train station. Albergo Ristorante Belvedere

This 3-star hotel is on Isola Pescatori (also called Isola Superiore), an island in the middle of the lake with a few hotels, restaurants, and shops. The hotel has its own ferry service and is about a 20 minute ride across the lake to the venue. The ferry stop near the venue (called Pallanza) is a 7 minute walk to the venue, Villa Rusconi-Clerici. However, this hotel may not be ideal for those of you renting a car, as there is no parking on the island. Please note, there is another Hotel Belvedere in Verbania nearby (also on this list) so if you choose this hotel make sure to book the right one! More info regarding ferry times coming soon!

This 4-star hotel is right next to the venue so is perfect for anyone who doesn't want to worry too much about transportation!

Hotel San Gottardo (3 star hotel) & Hotel Belvedere (4 star hotel—this is different from the Hotel Belvedere on the island!) are partners/in the same location so feel free to book either depending on your liking. They are in the town of Verbania and are a 6 minute walk from the venue.
