Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary

Alissa's favorite place to hike! The whole loop is 2.6 miles and covers 8 ecosystems, including the endangered Blackland Prarie. There is also an animal sanctuary onsite.

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden

Take an afternoon stroll through the beautiful gardens overlooking White Rock Lake. If you're feeling bougie, grab a table at the restaurant on the back side of the gardens and order some cucumber sandwiches and peach bellinis.

Fort Worth Stockyards

Watch the longhorns run down the road each day at 11:30 a.m. or 4 p.m. Grab a drink, some boots or some Texas BBQ.
