During Alison's first week at her new job, Reed was on a coffee break when he spotted her for the first time, and instantly thought she was the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen. He quickly texted his friend, conveniently seated next to Alison, to find out if she was single. The response: “It’s complicated.” And so began a work acquaintanceship, though Alison will admit she wasn't initially keen on the naturally brooding Reed. We lost touch when Alison left for a new job, and she swore to loathe Reed for all eternity. A year later, fate (and Reed’s roommate) stepped in, inviting Alison over for steaks. Reed had just returned from Japan, and neither of us had any idea we’d be seeing each other again. This time, though, the timing was right. From that point on, our relationship has been full of adventures — camping under the stars in Death Valley, drinking liters of beer in Germany, going on safari in South Africa, road tripping the Western United States, & listening to whales every day in Hawaii. Not to mention countless weekends in Yosemite; it was there, standing on top of Half Dome, that Alison realized she loved Reed. Today, our life together continues to be defined by doing things our own way. We're so excited to have you join us in New York to celebrate — in true Alison & Reed style.
