Best Man
Josh and Ryan met at Lehigh University where they ended up living in the same dorm building and sharing some incredibly random Engineering classes. Some people say you don't really understand a person until you've driven to Florida with them multiple times and I will say, this is a very true statement.
Best Man
Josh met Andrew in 1989 when he was forced to welcome Andrew into his family against his will. Many years later Josh allowed Andrew to be a groomsman at his wedding in exchange for 4 oil changes for his car. Andrew is just learning about this deal as we speak.
Groomsman
Josh met Pravin at a social event for graduate students at Thomas Jefferson University. The night did not go well for Pravin. A few years later we tried a friendship and it somehow stuck. I think Pravin was most interested in Josh's incredible humor and legendary jokes.
Groomsman
Josh met Dom while getting his Masters Degree at Thomas Jefferson University. It started innocently enough with work lunches focused solely on solving the New York Times crossword and slowly devolved into Josh suffering years of Dom yammering on about Soccer.
Groomsman
Josh and Tak met Freshman year at Lehigh. I vaguely remember Ping-Pong, exploring dilapidated Steel Mills, and intense Rock-Paper-Scissors drinking games. To this day you can find Tak and Josh every night at the back of Cavanaughs Riverdeck with Tak in a blue plaid shirt and baseball cap.
Groomsman
Josh met Steven when he learned that Alison came with a younger sibling. They bonded quickly over their love of craft beer but Josh hasn't seen Steven in many years. Legend has it that you can still hear Steven's voice calling out from his small portal ledge on the side of El Cap.
Maid of Honor
Alison and Tori met in high school and were lucky enough to share some college years together as well. Although they managed to start off in Colorado and then ended up in Texas together, life after college unfortunately put them on complete opposite sides of the country with Alison in Philly and Tori in San Francisco. While certainly complicated things, the increased distance didn't stop them from seeing as much of each other as possible. Maybe said best by Lights "No matter how far we get, oceans we are in still connect".
Bridesmaid
Sarah and Alison have been friends since the first day of high school where Sarah was somehow not scared away by Alison thoroughly failing to hide her excitement at making a new friend. They spent years together in marching band looking super sexy in dinkles, laughing till they cried on the floors of their rooms, random dance parties, school dances, and back-packing together across Europe. Alison is really glad that Sarah was not scared away by her jumping up and down repeatedly that first day in the cafeteria.
Bridesmaid
Alison met Bridget through Jefferson events and they found great solace in each others company as they suffered through the torment that is grad school. Luckily they had plenty of late nights, drinks, crafts, and pets to distract them. While we certainly hope not to have to scour the city searching for Bridget again, Alison takes comfort in the fact that we are usually able to find her. Being a true friend, Bridget is always able to find Alison as well, no TNR required.
Bridesmaid
Alison met JJ when she first got to Philly and finally found a group of people to watch Broncos games with. They were instant friends and have lived through the highs and many many lows of Broncos games the past few years. Whether its been expletive-filled football games, kickboxing, or exploring Philly, JJ has been there through it all and put up with Alison's craziness throughout school and helped keep her sane along the way.
Bridesmaid
Alison met Shaina at Jefferson when she started working in the lab. Alison very quickly learned that Shaina is a true unicorn, both inside and (sometimes) out. They became friends immediately and bonded over lots of science, creativity, and laughing till they cried and fell on the floor. Alison would not have gotten through school without Shaina's help and support, with a lot of unicorn-worthy words of wisdom along the way.
Bridesmaid
Alison met Sara when Josh brought her home for Thanksgiving. Upon getting engaged Alison was super excited to finally have a big sister as her wish for a sister as a child was never fulfilled (despite trying her hardest to exchange Steven for a sister instead).
