Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who will be walking down the aisle with us.

Andrew Glowa

Best Man

I've had the privilege of knowing Drew since 2006-2007. We originally met during our college days at the University of Colorado at Boulder - GO BUFFS! Drew and his wife Catherine invited Alison and I to their wedding back in 2013. Although we did not meet at their wedding, Drew and Catherine were instrumental in introducing us over group text in 2023, leading to us dating, finding love in each other, and to where we are now, getting married! Professionally, Drew is a highly accomplished pilot for the U.S. Air Force, flight instructor, and first officer for American Airlines. In addition, he is a devoted father to his sons Eli and Hudson and husband to Cat. His family and military career have remained top priorities and he has imparted his experience, guidance, and wisdom to me over the years. Drew has always remained intentional in our friendship and it is an honor to have him serve as Best Man at our wedding.

Bryon Stark

Groomsman

Bryon and I are quite simply brothers from another mother. We have known each other since our college days and he was that guy I just said from the very beginning, “I want to be friends with this guy”. This dude makes me laugh within about five seconds of talking to him every time. Like Drew, who we are mutual friends with, Bryon remains a devoted father to his two kids Caribelle and Maverick, and husband to his wife Jordan. Alison and I both absolutely love being around his family. I appreciate that we have stayed in touch for over 15 years and some trips we have taken include Jamaica and Panama City Beach, FL. Professionally, Bryon has worked his way up the ranks serving his country in the U.S. Air Force and is now involved with the newest branch of the military, Space Force, where they created a special job just for him. The rest is classified.

Kevin Becker

Groomsman

Kevin is Alison's brother-in-law and I have really enjoyed getting to know him and the rest of the Becker family. Kevin is a Texas A&M Aggie (where he also played rugby), and has a strong passion for golf, which we both enjoy together. We also share a passion for sports, and he is a very dedicated father to his three kids Barron, Vera, and Beau, and a loving and caring husband for his wife, Valerie - Alison's sister. I have enjoyed getting to know him and I love how we can all hang out together for hours and it never gets old. Professionally, Kevin works for Frito-Lay where he is devising new products and strategies with his team for the latest breakfast food to hit the market!

Austin Abbamonte

Groomsman

Austin is my loving and caring brother. Although some siblings can argue and fight growing up, Austin and I were very close, spending hours together reading stories and talking about our latest creative ideas. We used to do all the fun things kids do growing up in TX, including playing baseball, riding bikes, and playing hide-and-seek with the neighborhood kids. Some of my favorite moments we had growing up included going to the Dinosaur Park because we both loved dinosaurs and building Legos. In fact, Austin and I seemed to not be able to spend enough time together as we were even home-schooled between third and fifth grade. As we matured, he has offered me encouragement many times over. Professionally, Austin works as a licensed massage therapist and has helped many patients during his time with his business partner, Dr. Brian, at their chiropractic/massage therapy practice in Naples, FL.

Ryan Williams

Groomsman

Ryan is Alison's brother and I am thrilled to have him as a future brother-in-law. Ryan is one of the hardest working and diligent people I've ever met, and is a role model father to his son, Patrick, and an exemplary husband to his wife, Kristen. I'm very thankful for the time spent with him so far and am looking forward to spending more time in the future. I was able to get to know him even more on the family trip down to Destin, FL over Memorial Day weekend last year, and I know why he is so beloved by the Williams family. Currently, their family resides in Georgia as Ryan pursues his dream to become a general surgeon.

Stefan Jackson

Groomsman

I have known Stefan for over a decade from our time at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Stefan and I were roommates senior year in college and I was the Best Man at his wedding to his lovely wife, Jill, in 2010. When I met him my sophomore year, I instantly knew we were able to carry on conversations about anything and he shared experiences with me that were wise beyond his years. I remember when Stefan met Jill he told me, "Jason, you need to get yourself one of these!" Stefan continues to show unwavering dedication to his wife and three children and they reside in Castle Rock, CO. Professionally, Stefan is in the wealth management industry as well, and continues to serve his clients in a fiduciary capacity.

Matthew Mclean

Groomsman

Matt is one of my friends I have known longer than anyone else, as our friendship goes back to middle school at Monarch in Louisville, CO. Over the years, Matt and I have stayed in touch even though his military career has taken him around the world, spending time traveling to places including Switzerland and Zion National Park where we hiked the Narrows. He always brings a perspective that I admire and I can always trust that he will make the right decisions when it matters most. Professionally, Matt has served our nation in the U.S. Army, earning his way up through the ranks and has held various positions in intelligence, including his current position now in Washington, D.C.

Michael Sayer

Groomsman

Mike is another one of my close friends from middle school, so he had to be featured as a groomsman too. We grew up together and had many of the same friends over the years. When Friday night came around in high school, we would always go over to his house to watch movies and hang out. A graduate of the University of Northern Colorado, Mike and I have traveled to a few places, too including Napa Valley and Tahoe since he loves CA so much (I won't hold that against him). For fun, Mike loves to golf and hunt. Mike continues to show his dedication and support for his wife, April, and his two children Orion and Hudson. Mike currently resides in Montrose, CO and professionally, he is an executive director at a mid-size accounting firm where he travels between both CO and CA.

Valerie Becker

Matron of Honor

Sister sister! I have been blessed to know Val since the beginning. Though people rarely guessed we were sisters when we were younger (I'm blonde and she's brunette, and she could always tan so much faster than me!), we have been the closest of friends for as long as I can remember. From the early days playing Barbies and coming up with musical performances we did at home (or an entire radio show - creatively called the "Al and Val Show" - complete with commercial spots on road trips) to late night giggle fests and deep conversations, she has been a consistent source of wisdom and joy throughout my life. Watching how she and Kevin dated and built a strong marriage was such an inspiration to me as I looked for that myself. She is truly such a gift. Valerie lives in Richardson where she is a speech language pathologist, painter and mama to my three precious niece and nephews and wife to Kevin.

Kristen Williams

Bridesmaid

Kristen is my sister-in-love and I am forever grateful to my brother Ryan for making her a part of our family! The first time I met Kristen, I was struck by her kindness, sense of curiosity, and love for learning. She is one of the most thoughtful people, amazing gift giver, and loves her people so well! She also loves to laugh and is just a delight to spend time with, and I am amazed at her ability to quickly make a space feel like home. Kristen is a teacher by trade and currently lives in Gainesville, Georgia with her husband (my brother) Ryan and my sweet nephew, Patrick. I always love seeing the pictures and videos she sends of their adventures!

Catherine Glowa

Bridesmaid

Catherine and I were neighbors on both streets we lived on growing up in Longview and we practically grew up at each other's houses. We shared a deep love for horses and spent countless hours exploring the open lots and creek in our neighborhood on our mountain bikes or with provisions in Cat's red Radio Flyer wagon. We came up with all sorts of stories and adventures, and our imaginations took us all over the world in those early days. Even as adults, we share a common experience of having lived in another country for several years (unfortunately not the same one, we should have planned that better!). Cat is a fiercely loyal and tender-hearted friend and I am so fortunate to have known her for all of my life. Though we haven't lived in the same town since junior high, we always pick right back up where we left off. Cat is fluent in multiple languages (ask her which ones!) and lives near Tucson with her husband, Drew and their two sons, Eli and Hudson.

Stephanie Berg

Bridesmaid

Stephanie and I met in 2013 for the first time at a community group class at church. But we became fast friends a few months later when we carpooled to our first community group retreat. Since then, we have traveled to countless US cities and seven countries together. From monthly movie nights to church in the park to spontaneous road trips, Steph is my friend who is "DFW" (down for whatever) and we frequently find ourselves in hilarious situations. She is a helper at heart and loves to show up for the people in her life in both the good and the hard. Stephanie lives in Dallas and is in security consulting at Accenture.

Maggie Carver

Bridesmaid

Maggie and I met through the same community class at church (she, Steph, Mary, and I were in the same community group for almost ten years - such a gift!) and it was an easy friendship from the start. Maggie is gifted as an amazing listener and possesses deep wisdom, both of which make her a wonderful friend to process life with. She also loves to travel, has helped me up my anglophile game and possesses a quick wit, which has brought a lot of laughs over the years. Maggie is a speech language pathologist by trade and lives in Dallas with her husband David and their boys Mason, Charlie, and soon to arrive(!) twin boys. She also plans fabulous Disney vacations, I highly recommend her if you are considering one!

Mary Yuan

Bridesmaid

Rounding out the core community group (I hit the jackpot with that crew!) is Mary! Mary is the friend who keeps me in the know on all things skin care, fashion, and hot spot restaurants in Dallas. I met my match in Seinfeld fandom in her and she is the best paintballer I've ever seen (well, we've both only played the one time, but she was the last person standing!). Mary is one of the most genuine people I have ever met and has a true gift of hospitality. She loves to keep her friends well-fed and makes the best homemade dumplings you've ever had! Mary lives in Dallas with her husband James and their dog Cody and is a public relations wiz.

Anne Lindley

Bridesmaid

Anne and I first met in 2007 when she and Valerie were in college together at Texas A&M. I'm so thankful they became good friends because I got to know Anne too! We both ended up in Dallas after grad school where we became close friends and also roommates (for a time officially and still today any time one of us loses power in the annual ice storm!), and have traveled together overseas several times, too. Anne is my night owl friend and is always ready for a heart to heart talk anytime day or night. She is incredibly patient, a great encourager, and so dang funny. Anne has a pediatric dentistry practice in Sunnyvale and resides in Dallas. She, too, will be tying the knot this spring - by the time Jason and I say "I do", she'll be (Dr.) Mrs. Drew Petering!

Johnna Sheppard

Bridesmaid

Johnna and I met originally in 2014 when she and Anne were in a community group together. Through Anne and many other mutual friends, we kept crossing paths and have become close friends over the years. Johnna is such a calm and steadfast friend with a servant's heart. She is incredibly generous with her time and energy that she gives to others, and her warmth and kindness are such a gift to those around her. I'm always learning from her and finding my next TBR ("to be read") from her stack! Johnna lives and works in Dallas, where she is an executive assistant. She is also an incredibly talented personal stylist!

Barron, Vera, Beau, Patrick

Flower Girl and Ring Bearers

We are so thrilled to have our sweet niece and nephews be part of our big day! Barron (9), Vera (8) and Beau (6) are Valerie and Kevin’s kids and live in Richardson, and Patrick (2) is Kristen and Ryan’s son and he lives in Georgia. These cousins love each other dearly and bring so much joy. They are very excited to celebrate and have been affectionately calling Jason “Almost Uncle Jason” (AUJ for short) for some time now!
