George and Ali met in the bat-infested house on Seminary Avenue that Ali lived in during her junior year of college at Binghamton University. They made it their mission to try every diner in a 15-mile radius and planned an elaborate road trip across the country to visit George's brother, Stu and his wife, Maxi in Colorado. At the time, Ali didn't even know how to drive, so all she could contribute were her DJ skills. Once they made it that many hours in a car together, it was practically certain they could make it through anything.
Ali and George loved Colorado so much they decided to stay. They both made it into their top-choice graduate schools: George started his Master's of Social Work at the University of Denver and Ali started law school at the University of Colorado in Boulder. Their household grew by one when they adopted their feisty cat, Sasha (aka Sushi) and they made invaluable friendships and memories up in the mountains while working hard to achieve their career goals.
Ali made George promise to wait until she was finished with the Bar Exam to propose, so she didn't expect anything when they went out for a hike at Golden Gate Canyon State Park on a Saturday in June. She didn't even see it coming when he played all their songs in the car on the way there, or when he couldn't stop cracking a smile on the way up the mountain. He made it all the way through his romantic speech and she still didn't have a clue: until he got down on one knee and pulled out the ring he designed himself! They're making it official after six plus years, and they can't wait to celebrate with you!
