Capp's Pizzeria & Trattoria
Yes - the pizza is amazing but don't sleep on the appetizers. Our favorites are the brussels sprouts, mozzarella cheese sticks and salads.
TRU
Come here in the afternoon, evening or late night. We love having a beverage accompanied with a sandwich, chips and a good ol' chocolate chip cookie.
Top of the Hill Restaurant & Brewery
This is a classic restaurant/brewery in Chapel Hill! If you want to explore Franklin St. ("Downtown" Chapel Hill) grab a bite to eat here.
M Sushi
Best sushi in the Triangle! Located in the heart of Durham B: I was not a believer of sushi until Al brought me here. Yep, that good
Breakaway Cafe
This is our go to spot for a breakfast treat. Our personal favorites are the breakfast burritos, pancakes and scramblers.
Hayes Barton Cafe & Dessertery
I would honestly recommend this restaurant solely based on the tastiness of the free bread basket. The terrific entrees & desserts are simply a bonus. There is also a charming neighborhood bar across the street (if thats your sort of thing)
La Vita Dolce
The coffee = great. But also, have you ever had gelato for breakfast? If not, here's your excuse.
Pure Barre
If Al is late for the wedding, she's probably here. Interested in a workout with the bride? Sign up for a class (in advance - spots run out quickly)
Durham Bulls Athletic Park
This is minor league baseball folks but you'll have major fun! Per the 2022 schedule, there will be games throughout the week/weekend of the wedding.
Pizzeria Mercato
Full disclosure, we have only been here once. However, the pizza is amazing (and so are the *salted* chocolate chip cookies)
Ponysaurus Brewing Company
Biola speaking here.. don't tell my mom but this brewery is fun. They have pizza. The beverages are awesome. One of the bartenders is a Jacksonville Jaguars fan. It's truly a wonderland
Steel String Brewery Carrboro
This a less busy brewery in Carrboro. Al and I have gone here a couple of times and really enjoy it each time. It is within walking distance of several great Carrboro restaurants too. Give it a try!
Durham Performing Arts Center
Go to a broadway show at the DPAC! We have seen Aladdin, A Bronx Tale & Tootsie here. This is a great excuse to explore Durham. My Fair Lady will be playing the week/weekend of the wedding.
The Streets at Southpoint
"The Streets at Southpoint" is an indoor/outdoor mall on the outskirts of Durham. Al goes here for the clothes. B goes here for engagement rings and cookie cake.
American Tobacco Trail
This trail is fabulous(!) for running, walking, biking, and apparently horseback ridding? (based on the signs). There are several different ways to access the trail. Ask Al and she will send you the address for the route we typically use.
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Campus is beautiful in spring/summertime. Walk around campus and see our stomping grounds. Places to see: Cocker Arboretum, Alumni Hall, The Old Well, Ackland Art Museum, Carolina Basketball Museum, Kenan Football Stadium. B: Its not the University of Georgia but its still pretty I guess Al: I love school
Urban Axes - Axe Throwing
One of my favorite experiences in Durham! It sounds a bit daunting but it is lots of fun. There is also a brewery inside to ease some of your nerves. Also... Duke emergency department is nearby

Approximately 100 steps from our apartment to the cashier's table. B: I have probably tried every burger on the menu. I don't know if I'm proud of that but I can let you know they are all very good.
