How We Met

It all started in spin class...

Our love story began in Boston, back in October 2017. The stars aligned on that Friday the 13th (spooky!) We met at a spin class that our friends, Katie and Greg, were hosting for their fundraising event. The class had been rescheduled and Alison wasn’t supposed to make it because she was heading out of town for a girls weekend. And Tony had never been to spin class before. Alison's friend Devon got the flu, having to cancel the trip last minute (Thank you Devon!), and Tony wanted to support his friend Greg and try something new. So there they were sweating in spin after work on a Friday evening. Love at first sight? After the class, they got to chat and learned they had a lot in common. They were both young professionals working in Boston, they had an interest in fitness and living a healthy-ish lifestyle, and they had mutual friends from being at the same spin class. Tony was funny telling a classic ice cream story that Alison will never forget, and Alison told stories of her family. Tony messaged Alison on Instagram and asked her out on a date. A couple of weeks later, they went on their first date in Boston where they shared a pizza of course. They knew they had found something special after that very first date. Fast forward a couple of years later... They have had many adventures together and enjoy spending time with each other's friends and family. Tony popped the question at the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) finish line after riding 80 miles on his bike that day. He kept the ring in his jersey pocket and asked his family if they could take a picture of him and Alison. He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. After being in shock for about 20 seconds Alison finally said YES! He also surprised Alison by having her family waiting at a restaurant when they got back so they could all celebrate together. They moved to sunny Boulder, CO in 2019 to do all the hiking, skiing, running, biking and exploring of their dreams.

For all the days along the way
