We are leaning towards cocktail attire. We recommend bringing and jacket for the evening. As many already know, the bride can always appreciate a change of shoes and you are more that welcome to bring one as the night goes on!
We love the city we call home and look forward to sharing it with those we hold dearest! For those traveling, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any individual questions regarding mobility, stays, safety, and recommendations.
There is limited parking in the area. Given the prompt start to the wedding we recommend parking in a local garage with enough time to ride share to the venue if not staying at a hotel. We have our recommendations below! Parking Options Japan Center Garage (recommended for the most stress free parking but would require and Uber to your hotel/venue) • Located in Japantown • Typically ~$25–$35 daily • Large indoor garage with multiple entrances • A calmer area than downtown • Best overall balance of safety and accessibility Performing Arts Garage (closest to wedding venue) • Located next to the venue • Typically ~$35–$50+ daily • Covered, well-trafficked garage • Easiest option, but also the priciest Civic Center Garage (budget-friendly) • Located near Civic Center • Can be as low as ~$15–$30 depending on timing • Most affordable option • Area can feel less comfortable at night, so plan accordingly Sutter Stockton Garage (closest to hotel block) • Typically ~$30–$45 daily • Convenient covered garage with easy access to hotels and rideshare pickup Union Square Garage (central option) • Located in Union Square • Typically ~$35–$45 daily • Very central and easy to access Richmond District (Free option - SF hack edition and not recommended the day of) • Street parking without a time limit is available in the Richmond District, North of Park Presidio Avenue. In theory, you could take the 38 bus Downtown, or Uber to the next location. Just remember to check street cleaning days! As always, all belongings should be cleared from your car when parking. Jackets, bags etc.
We're not sure what our plan will be... We have a few favorite spots in the city for breakfast and plan to stay in SF on Friday! Let us know if we should plan something!
Mr. Tipple’s is a small venue with limited room. Because of this, we have decided to have a mostly child-free wedding. A small number of children that are part of the wedding ceremony will be in attendance and will be explicitly listed by name on the RSVP.
