Question

Did you guys already get married?

Answer

We had our religious Islamic ceremony with family and a few friends on May 29, 2021. My father got to be a part of this ceremony with us. However, our official wedding weekend will still be February 25, 2022-February 27, 2022.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We have been blessed with plenty of household items and truly do not need anymore. To save you the looking, shopping, and buying, we prefer a contribution to our honeymoon fund.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We have worked really hard to create an intimate celebration that includes all of our closest family members and friends so we ask that you come solo unless your invitation is addressed to your family or to you and an additional guest. We will specify all guests on your invitation. Thanks for understanding!

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

If your invitation specifies that your whole family is invited, then yes, you are welcome to bring your children! If your invitation does not include "family" or children, then we ask you only come with your partner/plus one and make it a date night. Please note our venues do not provide high-chairs or accommodations for small children, so if you do opt to bring your children, you may want to make arrangements. Additionally, our entire ceremony will be recorded, so if any of our little ones get fussy or need a break, we kindly ask you take them to the foyer space outside of the ceremony room.

Question

Are plus ones invited to the rehearsal practice?

Answer

Our venues are not allowing plus ones and families at the rehearsal practice, unless they are in the wedding party or part of the ceremony. Since we are not doing an actual rehearsal dinner, only those in the ceremony should attend the practice.

Answer

Question

What cuisine will be served?

Answer

Our cuisine on both days will be delicious, halal Indian dishes. We will have options for our vegetarian and vegan family members and friends as well! It's absolutely delicious and we are happy to give you recommendations.

Question

What color do South-Asian brides wear?

Answer

Traditionally in South-Asian weddings, brides wear red, maroon, or hot pink wedding gowns. The color red is commonly associated with love, passion, and good luck. However, nowadays South-Asian brides wear any color of their choice! If you plan on wearing South Asian ethnic wear, I would still steer clear of wearing any fancy white or red outfits to be safe.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding is a Black-Tie event. A cocktail dress, evening gown, tux, or any other formal attire will be acceptable. If you are interested in purchasing a South Asian outfit for the wedding, here are some stores: - Designer Vastra (Physical boutique located in Charlotte, NC) - Saj Daj Ke (Physical boutique located in Charlotte, NC) - Global Mall (Physical South Asian clothing mall located in Atlanta, GA) - Ayla Noor (Online) - Utsav (Online) - Lashkaraa (Online) - Amazon (Look up Indian outfits) - Etsy (Look up Indian outfits)
