Man of Honor
By the time of the wedding, I would have known Alex and Nina for 9 whole years! We have been each other's classmates, friends, roommates, coach, travel companion, advisor, disaster-response-team (ask me about the flood), coworker... we've been through it all. This September, I can't wait to put on another hat, to witness their new beginning as the man of honor. It brings me so much joy to see my two closest friends joining hands. I can't wait to support and witness your next 9 years ahead!
Best Woman
Hi! I’m the groom’s sister and a professional menace in his life. Outside of that, I love all things creative: painting, reading, and crafting. If Alex is the left brain, I’m definitely the right. I’m also big into hiking, climbing, and outdoorsy things, so if you’ve been to any national parks lately, come chat with me!
Bridesmaid
Hi from the little sister of the bride! Nina has always been my biggest role model and built in lifelong best friend. Years ago, when I met Alex for the first time, I remember asking him to give me a piggyback ride - sweet right? I promptly swung my legs around and kicked him in the balls, and he spent the next couple of minutes on the floor while our mom got him some water. Somehow, I didn't manage to scare him away, and even though we have the same birthday, I'm happy to share it with someone that loves my sister as much as I do. Love you and congrats Nina and Alex!!
Groomsman
Howdy! I'm Alec (no relation), former college roommate of Alex and current long-distance friend and groomsman. Our friendship kicked off over a game of Dominion, which just goes to show that card-based competition can really bring people together. I’m into games of all kinds (whether they’re on a table or a screen) and a big fan of hiking and seeing nature. I’m very excited to celebrate with Alex, Nina, and everyone else!
Bridesmaid
Hi I'm Dai, Nina's friend and Alex's old coworker/cubicle mate! I met Alex in the windowless basement at work during COVID. Even through many of our conversations through the cubicle glass divider where Alex was kind enough to pretend he heard half the stuffs I said, I could tell how much he loved Nina from the way he talked about her. I vividly remember meeting Nina for the first time at a K-bbq on the first of her many car fixing adventures, and I was so glad to be her friend ever since. From the love for cats (Nina sacrificed her milk tea when we tried to bait my first kitty in the parking lot), to all the book reading that ended with us crashing on the couch, zip lining, amazing food, watch parties, fun adventures, and of course board games, I am so grateful to share it with Nina and Alex through these years. I have the honor to witness their love for each other, and I cannot wait to celebrate them on their special day!
Groomswoman
你好 (NiHao!) I'm Gloria, a former co-worker of Alex's. Fortunately/unfortunately, we got put on the same project at work and frequently traveled cross-country away from family and friends. Alex and I quickly became close friends over the long drives, late dinners, and red-eye flights. We also bonded over how much we love (and critique) food (duck for him and sushi for me). In every conversation, Alex was always mentioning Nina, showcasing his love for her no matter where he is or what he's doing. Through Alex, I ended up gaining a new friend in Nina. Even though I've only known Alex and Nina for a short few years, I see their happiness and love for each other. Can't wait to celebrate this exciting day with them ♥
Officiant
Hi! I'm Neha, and I've been driving Alex and Nina spare since our first year at GT. I met Alex when he kept showing up at my dorm building to meet mutual friends (even though he never lived there) and I've been bothering him relentlessly since. Nina I met on her first study abroad in China, where we spent the weekends getting into hijinks and the weekdays struggling through class. I will proudly claim credit for introducing them through a series of fortunate events, and I'm so excited to celebrate with them!
