Yes, it's true. Sarah and Chris “met” on a busy day (circa 2011-2012; the exact date is still up for debate) at Boylan Heights, the beloved sports bar on the Corner. Chris saw Sarah -- "the waitress in the blue shirt and curly hair" -- and just had to leave her his number. At the time, Sarah was flattered but too nervous to call him. Cut to April 2020. Lockdown is in full swing. Chris is living with his dad in Crozet, growing his hair and beard into full-on bushman mode, and taking 4-hour daily walks while befriending local deer. Sarah is living with her parents in Richmond, patiently waiting for her 5 pm glass(es) of wine and delicately polishing every single item from Costco with a Lysol wipe. Sarah wonders, "Is this what my life has become?" Sarah decides to sift through her old college mementos, cherishing a time when she had not a care in the world. It's then that she finds Chris' note and decides sure, I'll give him a shot! Initial texts (that Chris almost didn't respond to because he suspected it was spam) turned to FaceTime chats turned to a first date walking around Belle Isle turned to content and fulfilling love. We can't wait to celebrate our love with all of you, our dear family and friends. We are so excited for the festivities and will see you all in September! #alimen2be
